Blues Brothers 2000
(1998)

What A Joke!
Me and my ex-boyfriend went to see the film when it first came out, what a joke! Why a sequel? I have to admit the music in the film was great with very impressive cameo appearances by such musicians as Blues Traveler, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Dr. John, B.B. King, etc. The script of this film was written horribly the story line was almost a carbon copy of the first Blues Brothers movie. In other words it was almost history repeating itself. The movie was not all that hilarious except for when Elwood came out of the men's room of a restaurant with his head looking like a giant zit. This film should have been a live concert instead of a "drama" nightmare! Believe it is not worth seeing.

Out to Lunch
(1974)

Awesome Unforgettable TV Special!
I remember watching this TV special at the tender age of eight. Perhaps it was one of my favorite TV specials at the time because I was into the unique Sid and Marty Kroft giant puppets and Sesame Street and I was mesmerized of myself running away to a make believe land of friendly non-human characters. All of the muppets and the famous celebrities who appeared on this program were very extraordinary with parodies of soap operas, commercials, variety shows, etc. I also remember Carol Burnett doing a hilarious dance step with camera tricks in rewind and Carol in a bra commercial parody. All together "Out To Lunch" was a combination of Sesame Street meets Saturday Night Live in a G rated form. It was such a shame this show was not rebroadcast-ed again or released on DVD. I call this awesome once in a lifetime unforgettable program a classic that could possibly be passed on from kids who grew up in the seventies to generations of children and grandchildren in the present and future.
