Game of Thrones: The Long Night
(2019)
Episode 3, Season 8

The battle is here and it is glorious
A bit late to the party, but I watched the episode and it was incredible. Intense, impeccably directed & a fantastic culmination of the White Walker conflict. And this is something I'll always stand behind: the cinematography in this episode is gorgeous. The natural lighting is a stroke of genius and with the exception of 2 moments in the first 30 minutes, I never had any problem with seeing what was going on. Beautiful use of orange with the fire and the way it's shot results in a claustrophobic feeling, something truly unique (maybe with the exception of Battle of the Bastards). The way Sapochnik manages to immerse the viewer in this battle while constantly switching to different characters is a great achievement. Seriously the cinematography in this episode is top 3 GoT level. I can see why it is a divisive episode, but where I leaned more towards the disappointed side after watching 'Beyond the Wall', I'm quite sure I'll remain on the extremely satisfied side for this episode. I can't wait for the rest of the season and the final battle for the throne, but this is the perfect mid-season finale I needed.

Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
(2019)
Episode 2, Season 8

Build-up for the most anticipated battle in tv history
Boy did this deliver. I liked the premiere 'Winterfell', but this is on an entirely different level. I laughed, I got chills, I cried. I won't spoil anything, but the writing in this is incredible. Even though I love Game of Thrones (also the later seasons), I never thought I'd say that about a season 8 episode. Sure, the writing last episode was good, but this is seriously season 3 - 4 levels of writing. Beats 'Kissed by Fire' as my favorite build-up episode. I think that when all is said and done and people rewatch the entire show, this will be one of the best episodes. It just flows so well and perfectly prepares us for the biggest battle we're ever going to see. I'm gonna miss Game of Thrones so much, let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Baby Driver
(2017)

This is why I love movies
I was able to watch Baby Driver during an advanced screening last week and and yes it's as amazing as the critics say it is. The way it uses the music is just so great. It's so different from all the other movies, but it isn't artsy in a way that only the critics will like it: this is a movie for everyone. I went with a friend who is really hard to please when it comes to movies, but I just knew he would love this. And I was right, I never saw him as excited about a movie as he was about this one. It's just so much fun to watch, but it's also serious when it needs to be and it has very intriguing characters. But I'll be honest, the core of the movie is its music. I think this is the second time I say it, but the music works so well. If I wasn't in the theaters I would sing with the songs. Even though it's completely different, it reminds me a bit of Fury Road in the way that it makes you want to punch your fist and the air and cheer during the movie. In reality I think it's more a mixture of La La Land and Grand Theft Auto (it's definitely not a musical by the way). Go see this movie. I don't want to overhype anyone, but I'll make a bold statement and say this is my favorite Edgar Wright movie. I'll be shocked if this doesn't appear on many 'Best of the Year' lists in December, at least I already know it'll be on mine.

Game of Thrones: The Winds of Winter
(2016)
Episode 10, Season 6

The best season finale ever made
I normally don't write reviews on this website, but I just had to write something about this episode. I've seen many TV series, but I've never seen a season finale quite like this one. The first 10 - 20 minutes in King's Landing are easily the best moments of the entire show and one of the best things I have ever seen on a screen. This episode contains the perfectly executed Tower of Joy sequence. Every scene in this episode was amazing. Olenna even made Dorne interesting. Game of Thrones has always been one of the best shows on TV, but this episode proves it's in a league of its own. Season 6 had a few slower episodes, but the last two episodes of the season were pure perfection.
