A Nightmare on Elm Street
(2010)

Thanks for ruining freddy
Original: the Springwood Slasher gets burned alive and comes back as a creepy homicidal killer in teenagers dreams. He has the look of being freshly burned because he's a nightmare creature and he can be anything he wants and that's freaky looking. Plus he spouts hilarious gallows humor. Remake = A pervy gardener gets burned alive and comes back looking for revenge on the teenagers he traumatized as kids, he scares them with some weird gravely southern accent & has the look of someone who was burned and his skin healed up for a few years, WTF? The whole thing looks like it was put together by first year film students. Every character is boring & every remade scene is worse, less intense, and less creative than the original. Thanks for ruining freddy, A holes. Possibly worse than the Psycho remake.

Quarantine
(2008)

Great Movie
Aside from a few cheesy things this was a great horror movie and managed to creep me out a few times, which is extremely hard to do I watch lots of horror movies and they don't really usually effect me. I'm not a big fan of modern horror but this really is a good movie, it's not incredibly original or anything but a fun watch. Plus the girl was just gorgeous (in my opinion), the zombies were kinda freaky looking. I do get the impression that this is one of those post 28 days later zombies. If your one of those people who gets sick at movies like blair witch or cloverfield, you should probably skip it.

The Incredible Hulk
(2008)

Actually was Incredible.
I kinda liked the other hulk movie, but this one was way way better, it felt more like the hulk. Lots of action, good story, lots of destruction. Things it has over the first hulk:

1. Better looking hulk (closer to the comics) 2. Destruction inside the city (the other one lacked this) 3. Better and More plausible story and origin 4. Norton makes a better banner (he looks like the comic banner) 5. this felt like the comic hulk from the comics I've read 6. green eye effect before transformation like the old TV show 7. lonely man theme in this, cool! 8. he was always on the move, on the run like banner really is in the comics and TV show

Things the other one had over this:

1. I liked the general better in the first, he just made me so angry which is what he's supposed to do 2. I think Jennifer Connelly made a better Betty.

Overall Very good movie, also it looks like the funny guy from O brother where art thou, is probably going to become the leader in the next one.

Garfield Gets Real
(2007)

How could they screw up Garfield this bad?! It's TERRIBLE!
OK I didn't watch the whole thing, I fell asleep, I didn't need to. I'll sum it up, I saw the first movie, they screwed up the characters (besides Garfield) on that. But this one is much much worse, lets see...none of the voices even sound at all like the old cartoons or even have half the of the character that they had. They all sound like they're on autopilot. It looks like it was made for 2 year olds, and here's the biggest problem, get this, Garfield's mouth moves with his words. His mouth is supposed to stay still because he's only thinking the words, he can't actually talk to john, if these morons had actually read a garfield comic strip or watched one of the cartoons before animating it they'd know that. Just as bad as the guys who made that pink panther cartoon series where he talked. It's upsetting to watch them take something I liked as a kid and dumb it down so far. See it didn't need to be dumbed down for kids, I watched the old garfield specials (before the show) when I was a kid and they were great, they were already basically for kids. This is pathetic, Garfield deserves better. Unfortunately according to this site it says Jim Davis wrote it, his strips have also been...not very funny for awhile, I think he needs to give it up, sorry to say, I still think the old garfield comic strips (collected in volumes) and the old TV specials are great. This DVD is horrid.

I Am Legend
(2007)

An insult to the horror genre
Unbelievable, I saw this movie with a friend we wanted to see walk hard but it wasn't out till the day after. I didn't expect much but this was one of the WORST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME!!! I'll sum it up, it was a rip off of 28 days later with some plot changes (probably so they wouldn't get sued). I know 28 days obviously got there ideas from george romero but it was way too close to 28 days. I expected will smith to act like more of an egotistical jerk like usual but actually he wasn't the annoying thing about the movie. Not one person put on zombie makeup in this movie, NOT ONE, which sucks all the fun out of it, because the zombies in this looked SOOOO fake. I believed Roger Rabbit was playing opposite a live cast more than these zombies. I can stand some cg but every zombie was bad super fake looking cg, this movie actually looks worse than the mummy cg (or about the same). I didn't believe one scene there zombies were in, therefore it couldn't possibly be even remotely menacing or scary. Is it that hard to do it old school with real people? They certainly had the budget for it. The 28 guys and Romero can do it. Forget this and rent a good horror movie, the mind boggling part is I expected like 3 star rating on here for this movie, who's giving this piece good reviews is everyone blind. The bad thing is this review is from someone who actually likes Star Wars Episode 2 & 3, which while it did have too much cg, still looked 100 times more convincing than this one. This movie was pathetic and whoever directed it deserves a sh*t sandwich.

War of the Worlds
(2005)

War Of The Worlds is an incredible movie!!!
This movie is intense the whole way through, never a dull moment. I actually expected it to not be that great because the trailer was pretty weak. The work put into this movie is incredible, a ton of surprises. I thought it was one of Spielbergs best recent movies. Then I decided to see how people on here liked it for my own morbid curiosity, man, didn't anyone like it?! I thought it was a great movie, my friend enjoyed it too. Of course I also liked attack of the clones so feel free to shoot me now, Kidding. Don't listen to the negative reviews, it's really a good action movie, but only if you like action/disaster movies cause that's pretty much all it is. CGI seems to be getting better looking these days too, although getting back to classic film making like batman begins is a good idea too (that movie was killer also). This movie is basically in a nutshell what might happen if earth were invaded, this shows it, and that's all. Instead of the normal showing the invasion from the point of how the president and white house, it shows it from the point of view of a normal guy trying to save his kids from this mess. Spoiler: My favorite part was didn't involve the aliens it was a scene where crowds of people are fighting for the main characters car and he almost looses his daughter, I found that scene realistic in how people might react to the situation. Seen 3 new movies this summer and so far it's turning out to be the best summer for movies in awhile.
