Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics
(2020)

Needed more Adam Scott
Worth watching for the LSD After School Special segments with Adam Scott. For a more educational experience watch the Netflix series How to Change Your Mind instead.

The Borrower
(1991)

Those shades be stylin'
If you only watch one movie this year containing a couple watching The Garbage Pail Kids while a head swapping alien crashes a music video shoot wearing their dog's head make it this one.

Hell Riders
(1984)

Needs More Batcycle
This movie feels like someone watched a biker movie in their dream and then got an A. I. to recreate the movie from what they remembered. "I remember Batman was in it but he was a doctor, Ginger from Gilligan's Island, a naked woman on a chain leash, bikers with skulls on their patches, and most of it was filmed on a set that looked like a frontier town from a western."

Legion
(2010)

A Granny Walks Into A Roadside Diner...
It's hilarious how seriously this film takes itself and how straight it's played. A delicious cringe-burger with extra cheese and a side of demonic angels? The only ingredient missing is a bit of retro charm which this film will surely benefit from in years to come. A cult trash classic in the making.

Luther the Geek
(1989)

*Insert cast of Arrested Development making chicken noises*
Francis Dolarhyde gets high on the Colonel's secret herbs and spices and runs amok in a farm house while clucking like a chicken. Finger lickin' good.

Blood Freak
(1972)

*Looped Screaming*
Watching Herschell trying to drink the blood of one of his victims from his cupped hands while wearing the non-articulated turkey head was a highlight. As were the looped screaming and the narrator coughing.

Surf Nazis Must Die
(1987)

Synth? Nazis? Must buy!
Definitely the best synth soaked Troma/exploitation/revenge/surf film featuring a van with a dorsal fin and a vengeful granny riding a Harley that I've ever seen.

"Taste some of mama's home cookin' Adolf!"

Don't Go in the House
(1979)

Burn Baby Burn
The glaring omission of the song "Disco Inferno" during the flamethrower and disco scenes was a missed opportunity. Clearly not the vibe they were going for but it definitely would have made this more entertaining.
