Aa Dekhen Zara
(2009)

Aa Dekhen Zara
Aa dekhen zara was totally a unique movie. The movies name and the songs were related to the movie scenes and story. Bipasha Basu was really good at her role. While Neil Nitin Mukesh was also good. But it would be better if his expressions were shown a bit more. The future camera was really interesting. It would be wonderful to have a camera which sees the future. At the first half of the movie it was unbelievable that Ray (Niel Nitin Mukesh) from a poor man he became a rich man. But the bad part is that he used the camera for a greedy purpose. At least because of the evil people he learnt to put the camera for good use. But the movie had many parts where there were no connections and there was no clearty. Still I would rate it 8, because of the mystery. The movie was to the point too.

Slumdog Millionaire
(2008)

Journey of a Slumdog
This movie is one of the best movies I have seen. It's a story about the slumlife in Mumbai. The important thing is that Jamal (Dev Patel) dint loose hope in spite that his mother died and he was deceived by his own brother. I felt Salim had a good nature when he was small.

Jamal earned a living as a 'chai wala' where as Salim got money doing bad things. Latika was a descent and noble girl, but because of Salim she got into the wrong company. This story is an eye-opener. All the actors acted very well especially Dev Patel (Jamal Mullik) and Frieda Pinto (Latika) Dev Patel should get the award for the best actor.

I was really shocked at the treatment meted to the slums. Jamal used his own mind instead of following the answer which Anil Kapoor gave him. Even though Anil Kapoor kept teasing him he dint mind.Even when he phoned Latika, he was more bothered about her than the money.

This story tells us that if one is focused in life one can achieve one's goal no matter how many obstacales one faces.

It's a beautiful movie

Ghajini
(2008)

Ghajini
Everyone said that this movie was too violent. I thought why should I waste my time? But finally took a chance, mind you I was wrong, Ghajini was indeed a great movie. Inspite of the violence the story made sense.

Kalpana was so helpful and nice that I didn't want her to die. She was the one who brought the movie to the top. She looked stunning in the song 'aye bachchu' which compelled me to see the song again in Youtube.

Aamir Khan was like a ferocious lion when he fought, while Ghajini didn't look that scary as a villain should look. In the fighting scene at the end Sanjay had super human powers which made the scene look contrived. It decreased the realisticness of the movie.

I learnt a lot from this movie, example getting organizing in spite of mental problems and making a goal in your life for what you live. The movie conveys a lot of feelings which if you know you will start crying. It's a very interesting and a bit scary movie according to me. But, don't miss it!

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
(2008)

Indeed a wonderful jodi
This movie is the best movie I have seen. Suri and Taaniji acted wonderfully. But I guess that a few parts could be cut out which would

make the movie fast going. Example, when Suri talks to the mannequin-it was for too long a time. And the song 'Hum hai rahi pyar ke...'seemed as a filler and could have been left out.

Inspite of Anushka being a new actress, she acted very well. Shah Rukh Khan's acting as Raj Kapoor and Suri was convincing, they really appeared as two different people.

I like the concept/story of the movie. But the Director made Taani kind of foolish because when Raj wrote 'I love you', she should have guessed that this could have been a handi-work of Suri as he works in Punjab Power. The best part which I liked was the 'Honeymoon' pictures at the end, they were really cute. The movie gave a taste of comedy, romance and drama. Its a beautiful movie don't miss it!

Dostana
(2008)

Friendship
Well, let me tell you that the movie was exactly not like the way the way I saw it in the trailer. I felt that there were a bit too many coincidences. Like they had rented the same flat, they liked the same girl, etc. The first half of the movie was kind of boring but still good. I really enjoyed the second half. It was a comedy kind of film, I really laughed till my mouth was hurting. CHARACTERS Abhishekh Bachchan and John Abraham did really good acting as a couple. Well, even Priyanka Chopra did good acting as she always does. The fact is that when she is sad or she cries the same expression. When she is happy or laughs she makes the same expression. But you should go to see the movie mostly to see John and Abhishekh. I liked the movie because of its comedy and how Sam (Abhishekh) suited his role well like a male nurse. And Kunal ( John ) too suited his role well as a photographer. Not to leave out M ( Boman Irani),Abhimanyu Singh ( Bobby Deol) and Sameers mother(Kiron Kher). I felt that Boman Irani was given the same character or maybe he acted the same way as in the movie Munna Bhai MBBS.Almost the same kind of humour and laughter but still entertaining. It was good that Tarunput Bobby Doel in the film. He really highlighted the film by his presence. He did a good job as a boss.Even Abhimanyu's kid was very cute. Kiron Kher made the film more entertaining and lively. She acted well in "ma da laadla" and did a good job being Sameer's mother. Shilpa Shetty danced nicely in " shut up and bounce".

Overall I enjoyed the movie and only a bit of the first half, the characters satisfied their roles and it was a comedy and entertaining movie.

Fashion
(2008)

The depth of fashion
Fashion was a really nice movie, and mostly it was it was showing the life of models. It even shows the models dark side, not only smoking, drinking etc. Priyanka Chopra did a very good acting as Meghna Mathur. But I felt that if she could have given a bit more expressions it would have been a better film. Kangana Raunat did a satisfying role as Shonali Gujral. She was into her character. Specially then when she had to act drunken etc. I guess she was the one who acted the best in this movie. But I still think the movie could be made shorter. She really showed how ambitious she was. Priyanka really showed how nicely she could act and do cat walk. I think Madhur Bhandarkar has made a really successful and real life based movie. His movie has a depth and shows the real life of models. You all should go and see this incredible movie.

Welcome to Sajjanpur
(2008)

A good way to achieve a goal
Welcome to Sajjanpur was a great movie. I liked Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao's acting was fantastic and they fit in the character. The difference between a good and bad movie is how the storyline is. Out here the story line made a difference. The emotions and the passion was really creditable. The dream of becoming a novelist failed. So he had to become a letter writer. But the thoughts and practice which he got by writing letters lead him to a good future, a novelist. I hope Shyam Benegal's movie are going to go ahead. I would tell all the people to go and see this movie. Illa Arun did a good job as a illiterate woman . The movie was quite a comedy and a very soothing movie. Ravi Kishan and Rajeshree made a good couple and had done acting very well.Shyam Benegal has a good knack for comedy. He should produce more movies of comedy and adventure. Shyam Benegal has showed his creative and simple mind through this movie. I would give it one mark less because i did not understand how did Munni bai die when later they showed that she was the minister? but leaving that part WElCOME TO SAJJANPUR was a great movie.

Drona
(2008)

Drona not at his best.
Drona was not that bad a movie. In the starting I felt that the movie was going to be a very interesting and a nice movie with great actors. Indeed they did good acting but the storyline was not so interesting. How come Priyanka Chopra was looking so modern when actually she had a serious responsibility as bodyguard of Drona, since this is a mythology based movie. After the interval they show that suddenly Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan are in India. When they did not even show how they came to India from England. It was fine and sensible from then onwards, till Drona comes to the sea shore with Sonia . The instance after she gets captured a wave of blue petals come and lead him to a cave. I don't think that the wave of petals was necessary. One blue petal like always could have done the job. Abhishek Bachchan did quite a satisfying job as Drona. Priyanka Chopra was quite heroic. Kay Kay Menon as the evil guy was perhaps the best performer.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic
(2008)

Thoda Fantasy Thoda Fun
This film was really great! All the characters acted really well. I liked Rani Mukherjee's acting very much: she was a fairy and a messenger of God. I liked her very much in the "Bubbly" song.

Rani Mukhurjee was fantastic in her roles. She was really natural, and made all the kids to like Saif Ali Khan. Indeed, he became close to them. He understood how they must be feeling without their parents, so he wanted to be like a proper father. He tried to get closer to all of them by understanding their feelings. He helped Aditi by winning a cooking contest (ofcourse with the help of Rani's magic). Rani Mukherjee really had fun with the children. Especially when Iqbal tried to make a spider fall on her face, she turned it into a butterfly. The funny part was that the spider fell on his face after the magic was over.

Rani is the perfect one for a fairy. Her expression and her passion was tremendous. She acted extremely well.

Saif was good in his role. The transformation from a carefree person to a loving person, was simply great. He was himself in the movie and showed his natural liking for kids.

The kids gave an outstanding performance. Their dialogs were not robotic and were full of emotions. Most of all, they really enjoyed playing their roles.

Please do not miss out on this wonderful movie! This movie is for all age groups. It celebrates both childhood and parenthood.
