Planet of the Apes
(2001)

Wasn't as bad as most say, 10/10 for costume /makeup
This movie may lack on having a better story, but it still have a good story (but post-credit scene could have been good if it was followed with a sequel, but because it didn't happen, post-credit scene is now a sore for this film). But costume and make up and acting is 10/10. I believe even today it beats CGI ape-pination, and acting as apes by those actors was top notch, because it was civilized and humanized apes which in my opinion makes it true to the picture of the film. They are not too ape-ish and not too human-ish. If the movie was a bit longer and there's was a bigger human vs ape story in the planet of the apes, it may have been a big hit. But it is still a really good Planet of the Apes film. It just that expectations was too high for such a big franchise. I believe it was we'll done by Tim Burton and His Film Crew.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
(2024)

CGI is going up but IQ level is going down.
The more they increase these monsters' intelligence the more they insult the intelligence of adult audiences. Keep the middle way is the proper way. Make it neither childish nor too complex. This one was leaned more towards childish level. Don't get me wrong, I loved the actions and alliances but I believe the writers could do better than that in setting up the ways they achieved alliances between certain monsters.

My personal MonsterVerse Rating: Godzilla 2014 (7/10) (Worthy Godzilla reboot) Kong: Skull Island 2017 (7/10) (Worthy King Kong reboot) Godzilla: King of Monsters 2019 (7/10) (Great villain monster) Godzilla vs Kong 2021 (6/10) (unfortunately, the start of of too much fantasy, the way the monster skull possessing the mech suit Megagodzilla, come on) Godzilla x Kong.: The New Empire 2024 (6/10) (too humanlike interaction between monsters, excessive indulgence in fantasy, but great action scenes)

The Duellists
(1977)

Ego vs Honor
In my understanding that this movie is Ego vs Honor.

Attention to details is amazing. And casting and acting is good. It's no Rob Roy movie, which, in my opinion, Greed vs Honor. But I enjoyed watching it. Another classic movie I only ended up watching after 47 years of its release. Truly, there are hidden gems of entertainment arts out there. I came across Rob Roy 29 years after its release, which is another hidden gem. I believe such films as these will not be counted as "robbers of our time" in our, one time ticketed, precious every seconds called a life. The people need to be served more for about honor, dignity, and chivalry through entertainment, for who has time and attention to read books about them. The nations need to be infused with these ornaments of men. Peace!

Rob Roy
(1995)

We need more of these...
Every day entertainment robs us of our limited time bit by bit in this life. But I don't believe this movie did, rather, it infused the quality in it.

Growing men must be infused with chivalry, honor. Least we can do is through entertainment.

I discovered this film recently, and I'm glad I did. Such a classic. The dialogues 10/10, the acting 10/10, and character casting 9/10. The only part I disliked it, and so in any movie, is display of intercourse, never mind that it doesn't show obscenity, but mental image is still passed on. These scenes makes it less of a family sitting movie.

Just like honor and chivalry, we mist bring back that antique technique where just displaying a blank color and play the sound and let the imagination get the idea would suffice.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: Whose Show Is This?
(2022)
Episode 9, Season 1

Rolling down and down.
With flicks and twerks and preaches and re-edits in the ending by breaking the forth wall, and mocking VFX budget and possibly complain of VFX studios sneaked in at the end too, by K. E. V. I. N.

They truly "Smashed" the finale to the ground, i.e. Low.

Guess too many to manage properly hit the marvel studios too. However, on the bright side the breaking the forth wall is healthy for kids and child-like minds who get too obsessed with MCU. Never forget, it's fiction, it's fantasy, it's just a past time entertainment (as it supposed to be, and no more, we must get on with our lives.). (In Hulk Voice:) She-Hulk Trash!!! The show, I mean.

Thor: Love and Thunder
(2022)

It was a high-budget comedy from MCU.
I think they lost the equilibrium on this one. Thor (1) was ok but every intro of MCU character is ok film, 6/10. Thor (2): the Dark World was not bad and kept strictly Thor world with Thor story characters, it had its own style, so for me it was 7/10. Thor (3) Ragnarok was great, they hit the sweet spot with action and comedy and adventure, from me 8/10. Thor (4): Love and Thunder, in my opinion 6/10. That's because it got a bit too silly by having too many silly moments, a bit too long of silliness, a bit too far with silliness, but jokes were not bad. It was a fan movie ti watch, no doubt, but didn't give a feeling of the blockbuster spirited marvel movie. It was a good high-budget comedy from MCU.

Crazy Rich Asians
(2018)

In short summery....
You don't have to be rich, but do you have to be an Asian to get this movie. Enjoyed it. Thank you.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
(2021)

Renaissance of Kung Fu Fantasy Movie Genre
Great movie to bring renaissance to a fantasy Kung Fu movie Genre, and it kept its Asian roots in the story and characters. Shang Chi is a great movie for its MCU introduction. I haven't been in movie theaters for about 4-5 years. For this, I decided to go out and see in movie theaters, and I'm happy that I did.

The Tomorrow War
(2021)

Not bad at all.
Good sci-fi flick. Was entertaining very much. Reminded me a bit of Edge of Tomorrow (Aka Live, Die, Repeat) and naming is, The Tomorrow War, so close too. I hope they didn't give up on Edge of Tomorrow 2 though, aka Live, Die, Repeat, and Repeat.

Army of the Dead
(2021)

Generic Script with Silly Parts.
It seems the makers of this movie (not the actors, it's not their fault) worked just "hard" enough to make this film "Direct to Video/Streaming" quality. CGI is ok but CGI doesn't make movies great. Script, Story, Characters, and Acting do, but actors can do only so much as the dialogues that are written for them. It's the directors and the producers' job to make it into quality product. I watched it because I started watching it, and I like to finish what I've started, no matter how undesirable it can be.

Friends: The Reunion
(2021)

At last! Thank God!
Thank you to all who made this possible! Thank you to those who made this reunion possible for honoring these wonderful and blessed cast.

Logan
(2017)

This is, truly the Cinematic Epic Marvel film.
Great closing chapter of current/former X-Men franchise version's character's. Glad to see studio giving Huge the great ending to his "marvelous" character he played over these years and putting up with all these workouts and dehydration to stay shredded for the filming of films, and to see Wolverine and X-Men film on R-Rated genre as it should be for Wolverine films. The Wolverine 2013 movie was a great let down for being PG-13 and thus making action scenes futile. This one delivered greatly in action scenes, in acting, and with story. Bravo to all those who were involved, and fought to produce this film.

Spider-Man
(1994)

After season 1 it gets better and better.
As with most good TV Shows, it takes to warm up to the show and for makers and consumers of the show to get closer to characters. So after season 1 it only gets better. It has total of 5 seasons. Glad I found out about this show in 2021 and had a chance watched iand enjoy it.

Tenet
(2020)

Must watch with subtitles
Update: After watching it again at home once it became available, I added another star. For it did make it the whole story clearer. Still needed subtitles and remote by your side to keep up with face paced dialogues.

Good story but fast paced, yet long movie. Had to watch with subtitles to make sure I get everything in the story. I got no time to rewatch it 2-3 times, not in my youth anymore. No need to debate if it's scientifically probable, it's fantasy. Every sci fi movie at the end doesn't make sense when using deep reasoning. It's for your entertainment only. Enjoy and move on with your life.

P. S. Don't watch with headphones or earphones. When you will watch you will know why.

Vampire's Kiss
(1988)

A. Psycho
Spoiler Alert. The OG American Psycho. Could have been named American Psyco. Perchaps American psycho makers were inspired by this.

Hellboy
(2019)

Not bad
People used to Guillermo's style are mostly complainer I guess, but this is good in its own way. Still funny and not too scary, which is good.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
(2009)

Better than ratings say
It's 10 times better then the Wolverine 2013. X-Men Origin: Wolverine has more actions and cutting and better story then the Wolverine, which I think is overrated through visual effects and japanisque blend, even though they fail to deliver proper action/sword/cutting choreography. And I watched the Unleashed Edition that suppose to be uncut and with actual blood visual. The theatrical was a joke, when Wolverine cuttings its was as if he was punch, bad guys were flying off. Glad that Logan closed this case with R rating. Wolverine alway should be R rated.

Silver Linings Playbook
(2012)

Great story, great acting, result is great film.
A great movie with a great story. Cooper and Lawrence put a charming act, and supporting actors do great too. I rewatched this film after 7 years, and still enjoyed it, and better than last time I watched, it actually gets better over time and aging. A kind of a movie that you can watch as many times as you want and it still doesn't get stale.
