good, but not amazing I think they should have kept the show at 6 episodes. A lot of the scenes felt short and rushed, and things weren't fleshed out enough.
People complaining online about the diversity are ridiculous (why does it matter? Really? Give one reason why it matters or it's "bad" for the show to be diverse?), and should instead focus on actual critiques, such as quite a lot of stilted dialogue, a few cringe-worthy moments, and a lot of unexplained things - particularly, what was the floating blue orb meant to be?!
Positives: cool sets, great costumes, i surprisingly loved Avallach and Eredin, it was entertaining enough, and i actually quite enjoyed the idea of attempting to create a sort of witcher-prototype before witchers were actually invented.
Elves were too similar to the humans of the main show, instead of being their own society/civilisation, but that could be explained as the humans taking over everything that was originally elven. The actors clearly had great talent (most, not all), but the writing did fall short at times with unnatural dialogue.
All in all, i really did enjoy this. I loved seeing Ithlinne- she was one of the best parts. And the songs were great. This definitely was not as bad as some people say (i think some were determined to despise it no matter what, unfortunately), but there were also definitely aspects that needed improving.
