A little too drawn out I'm a casual viewer of true crime, like I'm not uber into it but I've seen my share of true crime docs, and many of the ones Netflix has recently been releasing. I felt that this one left a lot to be desired... the story is good, but the way they choose to tell it is very drawn out. I found myself fast forwarding through some interviews especially in the third episode, just waiting to get to the point.
And the portions of the cat videos they show in the first episode was a bit more gratuitous than I expected. I know they were going for shock value but I didn't think they would show a video of him ACTUALLY playing with dead kittens. At least for the other cat videos they don't show the murder or aftermath in the film. It was deeply upsetting, but maybe I walked into this when I decided to watch a doc about someone who films himself killing cats.
