Oh my gosh - I just watched the first two episodes on my Delta flight and I want more. The characters and writing is perfect - exactly like/where you would expect them to be. I need this in my life right now.
It is smart writing and because the acting is so good - it feels like you are peeking in to their lives again.
Another good book made in to a cute romcom. Sophie Kinsella has a great way with weaving characters - yes, you can project was is going to happen, but you are not disappointed when it happens. Cute movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Oh my gosh. Read the book (yes, it comes from a book) THEN watch this movie. The story is very rich with layers of quirkiness that doesn't translate well to a different but the movie does a great job of trying to get them all in. But if you have read the book before then you will understand the gaps in the movie better.
My husband and I watch all the Hallmark and Lifetime movies - we normally feel that we can write them or at least guess the dialogue: ). However, this movie - while sometimes formulaic - was so well written and the key actors had such chemistry that it truly felt true. We loved the movie and the writing in particular. The scene with the Dad/Pastor on Christmas Eve was a tear-jerker.
