Absolutely perfect The real beginning of chainsaw man is finally here. Numerous characters are suddenly killed off and it sets the bar for how dark the series is willing to go.
The animation is stunning (as expected), although some of the cgi is a tad janky. For the most part the manga is adapted extremely well, with only one scene which I preferred the manga version of. The action is thrilling and effective, the horror aspects are pretty scary, and the overall tone of the episode is exactly what it needs to be.
I also want to express how brilliantly the shooting sequence was adapted. The music, the atmosphere, the shots of the guns being pulled, and then the sudden bangs all add up to what might have been the best scene animated yet.
10/10, can't wait for next episode.
