Can't understand all the downers on season three.

Seasons 1 & 2 same format national disaster pending every episode, solved in 45 minutes just in the nick of time. Season 3, Running the country and fighting the dirty tricks of the election campaign. Addressing personal day to day issues from a mix of diverse backgrounds, along with a developing plot. Profanity my God you don't get that in real life !

I have just finished season 2 episode 1. Is it me, or is this a different story or different box set. I want to enjoy it but I am afraid I might just give up after just one more episode.

Only 4 episodes in, I love the developing characters. Why have I not seen this show before? So so funny, very well written and produced. Reminds me so much of the classic US sitcom M*A*S*H
