Alan Wake II
(2023)

It's not a video game, it's an artful masterpiece
I've never played a game with such a well written story and such well tuned mechanics. It has a story that will automatically hook you in and several jaw dropping moments that will have you almost wondering what is reality and what is a dream! It screams Lynchian surrealism, wears its influences on its shoulders, but is a wholly unique experience that no other video game can come close to. Already one of my top 5 games of all times. Genuinely, if you love twin peaks and all things weird, this is for you. It's not weird for the sake of being weird, everything has a purpose. I cannot recommend this game enough. It can be a little buggy, but honestly the bugs are usually so small that it does not take away from the overall experience.

No More Heroes III
(2021)

Such fun and a great return!
Genuinely funny and well written writing and crunchy melee combat equal to an amazing game. Such a good return to the series!

Cruella
(2021)

2 hours wasted
Just watch Joker. Literally this movie is the "kid friendly" version of Joker with the name Cruella slapped on it. There's even an obligatory "main character dances to music" scene like the stairs scene in Joker. There is music every five minutes of the film which gets quick annoying. I just want some dialogue and story sometimes! I don't need the soundtrack overwhelming everything every five minutes. More is not more. It's boring and quite predictable and trite. Please don't waste your time and just watch Joker. A better film even if that film in itself is not a cinematic masterpiece, it is way better than the bore that is Cruella.

The Last O.G.: That Backslide
(2018)
Episode 8, Season 1

Possibly the worst episode of the season
I like this series, I find it funny and amazing but this episode is literally just all the supporting characters being annoying. Not enjoyable to watch unfortunately and not funny. While it does make sense with how the story is playing out, it is annoying to watch.

Death Stranding
(2019)

A game that gives you a story and world to get lost in
While people may complain about a lack of "gameplay" and that it is a "walking simulator" I find it to be the most entertaining walking simulator ever! It gives you a story to become engrossed in and a word to absorb you in. One of my favorite games of all time!

Mulholland Dr.
(2001)

Brilliant!
A brilliant mystery and message. David Lynch calls it how he sees it and tells us it in his own way. Gotta love it!

Blue Velvet
(1986)

David Lynch's take on Americana
A movie that buzzed in my head for a solid 2 months after I watched it and still buzzed in my head from time to time. A movie that brilliantly shows the dark underbelly of the sunshine filled Americana presented in the movie. A movie like no other, and a movie that while may not be for everyone, it will be a movie you will never forget.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
(1992)

I really wish the trilogy planned was followed through
I love this movie. As a twin peaks fan, I seem to be in the minority of fans who wanted more of the red room and it's mythology. This movie has that and a stellar performance from Sheryl Lee make this a twin peaks must see! Plus it is essential to watch before watching Season 3!! It is like the handbook to completely understanding season 3. Another David Lynch fever dream that explores the character of Laura Palmer and extends the mythos of the Red Room. The movie literally took my breath away when I watched it. There is nothing like it!

Twin Peaks: The Return
(2017)

If there was a little less Dougie it'd be a 10
I loved this season. It is the perfect ending to such a perfect show, except for the long Dougie subplot that even I, a David Lynch fanatic, could handle. This is pure heroin David Lynch though so do not watch this expecting the Twin Peaks mix of mystery and quirks because you will be disappointed to see that this is a David Lynch 18 hour fever dream.

Twin Peaks
(1990)

While Season 2 can be a bit of a slog, the Lynchian mystery behind everything is worth it
The mystery and character interactions really lame those series. A series that has influenced modern media in countless ways, it really is a sight to behold. It creates a mystery and setting that envelopes you, engrossing you in it's pseudo-Americana and let's you try to figure it out, but lo, this is David Lynch. Maybe he doesn't want you to figure it out, or maybe he'll let you think you know what's going on before taking motion away from you. Genuinely such a good watch in quarantine.
