Best movie about the family dog. An enjoyable classic you can watch with the whole family for all ages.

This is one of my favorite movies and stirs my emotions with each viewing.

The dog is a comfort to Travis while his father is gone and Travis must now be the man of the house. Travis becomes more relax and brave once he sees he can rely on old yelled to help protect him and his family while dad is gone.

I never get tired of this film and have seen it multiple times. Great performances by all involved and great cinematography with the wilderness and animals.

I wish they made more family oriented movies like this.

Excellent performances from all involved. A Mystery with dramatic and comedic elements with some dark turns. I plan to read the book it was based on . There is also a 2012 remake I want to watch . Good direction with a stand out performance from Bette Davis.. What I liked about it was how they unfolded each family members problems and dynamics.. Nice score and set designs.. The story is farfetched but moved along nicely. Very enjoyable film and highly recommend it.. Shocking how people can be so sinister and greedy................

I am Glad I got to watch it on TCM. A must see for fans of classic film.

I really enjoyed this film. Great atmospheric horror that sticks with you well after viewing. The background story of the dark stranger I found to be fascinating. Some reviewers believe this is a zombie or vampire movie and that is feasible. But consider my theory, I think that they are victims of a wendigo (the dark stranger) According to this legend a person that chooses cannibalism can be turned into a wendigo, and the creatures in the film behaved with intelligence when attacking their victims and were able to function during daylight. They also had an insatiable appetite for flesh this trait is shared by humans infected by a wendigo. I strongly suggest viewing this film for all horror fans.

This film is definitely worth a watch if you like violent stand off films like Straw dogs, Assault on Precient 13 , v.f.w. And other similar films. The good guys use clever methods to fend off their attackers. Acting was fair to good . Tension builds nicely. This film is a good candidate for a remake and update. The leader of the villain is portrayed well as an ice cold killer. Runtime is sufficient. The films appeal is the tension and violent deaths,, and it is real life horror that could happen. The score is well done and creepy. The film held my interest from start to finish.. I liked it and suggest you consider watching.

Stallone looks great still kicking ass in his 70's. Love this movie and wish they would have included it in The Boys universe. Would have been a fun cross over. Great for Stallone and super hero fans Good fun. Give it a watch. You will enjoy it. The actor that played the bad guy did a great job. Enjoyable film to watch with fans of superhero films. Stallone is at his best when plays an underdog. This film. Had good special effects and pretty good score. I hope they make a sequel for another Stallone Franchise. Fun family action film. Stallone looked great and shows he has got some great action movies in him to star in.

Natural progression for the character of Damien thorn now an adult. I really like it and certainly does deserve the low score. The films shows more of Damien 's powers and once again the deaths appear as accidents just like 1 &2. I think this film had more horror in it then the first two. Definitely fans of the first two films should watch this certainly one of the best films within the sub genre of satanic horror. Ignore the haters and watch. Enjoy!

Another great film and addition concerning the Damien Thorn saga. What's great about these films is that all the deaths occur in a normal way and can be explained. The second film is also a natural progression for the character of Damien thorn. Excellent writing and direction with another great score by Goldsmith. Performances are awesome .. and holden fits perfectly as Robert thorns brother. My favorite character in the first two films did not get much screen time was Carl bugenhean played wonderfully by Leo McHern. I wish they would have had time to expand on his background. A must see for fans of the genre.

Great film and the best of the satanic horror sub genre. There are no creatures or cheap scares. If a devil exists the horror that happens in this film and its sequels is how the devil would do it. Everything appears as an unfortunate accident. Great direction, wonderful performances , fabulous score , and great writing. Truly a classic and masterpiece . Please do check out the sequels which are also quite good.

I had a hard time keeping my eyes open. Visually interesting for it's time but does not hold up well over the years. Horror fans will likely be disappointed.

I really like the way they described the occult ritual and it's preparation.

No cheap scares or gore in this one but provides suspense and an intriguing story... that horror fans will appreciate.

Weird , creepy, wild, and horrific ride on a road to nowhere good. Not for everyone but I liked it. Very original my favorite was the guy looking for his sister. Worth a watch. If you like this you may also enjoy Highway to Hell staring Chad Lowe and Patrick Bergen.

This film has it all supernatural, volience, creepy and sense of dread. . Horror fans will enjoy this extremely well made film. Acting is great, atmosphere creepy as hell, Great story . Certainly pays homage to Hammer films from the 70's but updated with good effects , violence , and gore. If you liked the witch you will also enjoy this film.

I saw this as part of the deadtime stories vol 1 horror anthology. The other two films in the anthology were mediocre the first was awful 1 out of 10 the second was ok 4 out of 10 but this final one directed by Tom savini was excellent.

Your world is not what it seems. When you wake from your stupor you will see the world as it really is and you may not like it.

Great action movie with a new twist on an old theme. Back in 1994 I went to see this movie knowing nothing about it. I enjoyed it then and still like it after all the years watching it again today many years later. If you like this film consider checking out trespass Ice T is great in both films.

Incredible film with intensity, relentless gore, and horror. This people are not nice.. They all deserve it and bull dishes it out. One of the best revenge movies I have seen. Some others being The Horseman (2008) possibly more gory and also dead man's shoes.

The individual chapters would have made interesting films on there own. My favorite sequence was with Nick Stahl and Jake Webber. Both gave excellent performances. All involved really performed well. The score was really appropriate and provided that feeling of dread and tension. Please stick with the film it takes a little time to get going but a real payoff will be enjoyed with this Gem. I do hope more folks get to see it. The film deserves a much higher rating ignore the haters.

Good addition to the zombie genre. I enjoyed this film. Not too much gore but plenty of suspense, scares and dread. A must see for fans of the genre. If you like this you may also enjoy The sadness which has considerably more gore. Watch it ..

Good story with great performances by all involved. The story will hold your interest , with enough gore and scares to please horror fans. I plan to watch more by this team highly recommend this movie for horror fans. If you like this sort of film you may also enjoy The black coats daughter and A dark song.

Weird and wonderful supernatural tale. The film makes the viewer feel a sense of anxiety and dread in the Godforsaken circumstances the main character finds himself in. I was surprised it was so good. The screenwriting and atmosphere made this one a winner. All actors involved did a fine job. The director leaves room for interpretations and doesn't hold the viewers hand which I think is a good thing for a nail biter like this one. Watch you will enjoy.

This was a pleasant surprise.. The lead actor did a great job. Interesting story , with nice character development of main character Rex. I would really like to see a sequel of Rex's next adventure.

Creepy, feeling of dread through out the film that keeps the viewer watching. Simon Rumley is an excellent director I have seen most of his films and love them. The low rating is not warranted and is likely from individuals who enjoy movies starring the Rock or other popcorn fluff movies. Good writing and direction , all cast members do a fine job. I hope to see more from Mr. Rumley.. I encourage you to check out his Red White & Blue, Fashionista, The living and the dead. All well made films about the dark underbelly.. this film certainly deserves a higher rating.

Excellent Revenge thriller by a truly talented director. I am not understanding the reason for the haters. Lousy rotten people get what's coming to them, very entertaining. If you like this sorta thing check out the equally enjoyable Shock to the system starring Michael Caine.

The film explores how a traumatic experience as a child can damaged the mind. The story is compelling and holds the viewers interest. Because of the poor rating I almost did not watch it. I am glad I did. I found it to be an outstanding film with excellent visuals and symbolism for its low budget. The performance were spot on. Highly suggest viewing this film for fans of psychological horror. It try is a lost gem that should have a much higher rating.
