Into the Dark: Pooka!
(2018)
Episode 3, Season 1

Engaged the entire time
I loved this show! Acting is superb and the technical parts such as direction and writing are excellent!

From the start you know something isn't right and I did not figure out what that was until the end.

Great job!

Sum1
(2017)

Really liked it
I too came across this accidentally, never heard of it, so no expectations. He is a phenomenal actor and played the part exceedingly well. Leaves you guessing through out what is really happening. If you need constant stimulation this isn't the flick for you

The Nun
(2018)

So bad it's....bad
Sometimes a movie is so bad it's good in its own way. This is just 100% awful. Details are severely lacking- the priest and young nun sit down to eat with no prayer first? They have electricity for the radio but no lights? Young nun takes her vows but leaves in civilian clothes and makeup?

Script-terrible. Acting-terrible because they had nothing to work with. Don't spend any of your hard earned money on this one!

P.s. I did love both Conjuring films

The OA
(2016)

Lost me at the octopus
What in the heck was that all about? Added no value and had zero purpose. I finished just because I felt like I had already gone so far, but we still haven't learned anything new in 2 seasons. Brit is an amazing, artistic gal, so I give this a 6 for her efforts that were so dang close to being great.

Hellraiser: Judgment
(2018)

Surprised!
With such a low review rating (4.3), I didn't expect anything good, but I really enjoyed the first one so wanted to give it a chance.

I'm glad I did!! Interesting plot and plot twists. I say give it a chance if you like horror movies, especially Hellraiser.

Abducted in Plain Sight
(2017)

A hard, but necessary watch
I agree with another reviewer of the documentary- you can't give this a negative review because you disagree with the content. Though I too would like to shake her parents and demand to know "how could they", but I absolutely applaud their brutal honesty. What they were essentially confessing were things most people wouldn't have the courage to talk about with close friends, let alone to the whole world. Embarrassing, horrifying things and I think in an effort to help their own family and for any other family to avoid such devastation. They may have been absurdly naive when it happened but they certainly are not now. They have taken much effort to tell their story in the hopes of prevention for someone else. True bravery

Speechless
I knew nothing about the history this movie is depicting and I was left speechless after watching. I cried, I laughed, I was enlightened, sad, angry and proud. Not many movies can pull all of these feelings together and make it work. I will definitely be researching the subject. A truly great and powerful film. Bravery comes in many forms, even a taxi

American Crime Story
(2016)

Just wow!!!
Amazing. Totally amazing!! Most deserving of all awards won

50/50
(2011)

Love everyone but....
Seth Rogen. What is the appeal of this man? I find him creepy and gross but thx to Hollywood gets the unbelievable hot ladies. That aside, will watch absolutely anything with JGL. His performance in this is stellar like always

Little Miss Sunshine
(2006)

Love, love, love!!!
Top to bottom one of the best movies ever!!!! I want to be like Grandpa when it's my time...

Mandy
(2018)

UGH
I like grindhouse. I hated this. Save your $ for a different flick & rainy night.

Venom
(2018)

As always Tom Hardy rocks
Highly recommend going into this movie with just wanting to be entertained. If you get into the details that's when you will be disappointed. Go for the ride and not "that doesn't make sense" - because that's when the story falls apart. Hardy is a brilliant actor and he was the best person for this role! Refreshing to watch the comedian in him!!!!

A Simple Favor
(2018)

What?
I'm having a difficult time figuring out why this flick has any kind of high rating. It's a drama until it isn't - as in the one or two jokes floated in. The girl on girl kiss was ridiculously unnecessary and an attempt at "sexy". Plot was kinda ok until it to was ridiculous. I truly wanted to like it for the actor's sake because I like all 3. I hate that I spent money on this.

Der Hauptmann
(2017)

Good, but I wanted more
I think if the film had started before he deserted the dynamics would have played out better. He deserted for a reason- why? The film didn't demonstrate any kind of transition. However, the cinematography, Max's performance, and the gritty hell of war was realistic and superbly done. Black and white movies normally irritate me, but in this case it made the film unflinchingly raw.

Wow. Gross. Funny. Sad. Great.
After 16 years it's amazing and depressing how relatable it still is! Cameo's were such a surprise: Debbie Harry, Alexis Arquette, Eric Roberts - everyone did great. Casting was superior!

The show is also extremely gross! Mena in the bathroom was funny & true, but...yeah, I'll save that for you to see for yourself. If you are someone who can't or shouldn't watch graphic scenes of using - this is a big no go for you. Nothing if left to the imagination.

Huge fan of Mr. Rourke- thrilled for his getting back into acting.

Above all lease it made me realize that I miss seeing Ms. Murphy on screen. Amazing actress who left entirely too soon.

All Light Will End
(2018)

Sooooo bad!
Horrible acting. Way too many errors. Really dumb script- it's the middle of the night-my boyfriend is missing-he must have gone for a run....yeah.....that must be it.

Cold Skin
(2017)

So well done!
I love Ray Stevenson- if u haven't seen him in Rome, do it now! Same with David Oakes, it's great to see him play a role in more "modern" times and he did a fabulous job! The person that played Aneris was a wow job as well. Are there some inconsistencies? Yes. But I found that I didn't care because the rest was just so good.

Inrang
(2018)

Confused!
Perhaps if I had seen the anime version the other raters talk about, I would have understood what was going on. I was very confused regarding the motivation of each main character.

The Kindergarten Teacher
(2018)

One heck of an actress!
Maggie never fails to impress!! She has always thrown herself into her characters completely, convincingly, and of course, so beautifully. She has excelled in everything from The Secretary (soooooo good) to this show. The little one was a star in his own right as well! I have read many reviews on here giving a 1 Star because the movie is disturbing- it was supposed to be! In the end the little boy sought to protect himself and he was successful! He felt empowered to do the right thing while also having empathy for her pain. I believe this flick to be a hands in the air 10!

The Evil Within
(2017)

Like others who stated, surprisingly good
The first 5 minutes kind of grabs you and then Koehler keeps you reeled in. Phenomenal job done! The show would not have worked without him. Storyline doesn't make sense but in this movie that seems to work. I went in with zero expectations and ended up liking the film.

A Prayer Before Dawn
(2017)

Amazing performance!!
Joe Cole did a phenomenal job!! I'm so impressed with the authenticity, using real inmates in a real jail - the show was nonstop. I'm so impressed!!

Maniac
(2018)

If I could give it
A number ratings into the negative I most certainly would. Hate it, hate it, hate it. So dumb, makes no sense. Not at all like the movie description. I'm on the Icelandic bit now....what on earth? Ugh, so glad I didn't pay specifically for this!!!!

Hold the Dark
(2018)

Makes zero sense- why would you
Call an expert to come find a supposed man-eating wolf, when you actually have your mudered son in the basement? An unlocked basement so this expert could find him? From this point forward this movie is a complete failure. Why did she do it? Bored with her life? If so why did she hide in a freakin cave? I looooove Skarsgard and cannot figure out why he took this gig- a favor to someone? To really see him in action you MUST SEE Generation Kill as "Iceman". Back to this awfulness - why the killing rampage?? Why the mask? Why is it called "Hold the Dark"? Most importantly, why watch this movie?
