Khaidi No. 150
(2017)

bad comedy in unwanted seanes
no pure sentiment seances when compare with the Kathie movieKhaidi No.150 (2017): Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Chiranjeevi Mega Star.....This is a fanatic slogan for every movie lover in those times.Konidela Shiva Shankara Varaprasad,an once unknown person ruled Tollywood for almost 2 decades as Chiranjeevi. After a gap of 10 years,Boss is back with his new movie Khaidi No.150 which is a remake of Tamil blockbuster and one of my favorite movie Kaththi.Khaidi No 150 which has been in the news for over a year has hit the silver screens today. Can Chiranjeevi reclaim his glory and position with this movie?Does he have the same charisma and screen presence?

Plot:

Kaththi Seenu (Chiranjeevi) is a happy go lucky crook who escapes from jail and plans to leave the country for good. One fine day, he comes across an accident and helps the man who gets affected by it.The twist in the tale arises when Seenu finds out that the man(Shankar) he saved is the exact look a like of him. He cleverly sends back Shankar to jail in his place and silently enters his life to earn more money. There, he comes to know that Shankar's life is miserable as he is the only man who is helping the downtrodden farmers of his village. Upset by this, Seenu decides to own Shankar's problems and launches a huge fight against the corporate companies who are behind all this. How does he solve all these problems forms the rest of the story?

Plus Points:

1)Mega Star: One word which I can truly say is that Boss is really back.Chiranjeevi did not lose any of his charm and still has the same charisma and josh. His comedy timing is marvelous and he is the sole reason for this movie to shatter all box office records.Chiru's performance during the emotional scenes and climax bring a lot of depth to the film. His dances may not have heavy steps but has many of his signature moves (Veena step too) Chiranjeevi proved well enough that he has Adhe Energy Adhe Charisma..

2)Flashback: Flashback episode is the only part of the movie which successfully carried the necessary emotion.Chiranjeevi brought necessary emotion in the role of Shankar and all the scenes in his village are handled well. That felicitation scene is brilliant and carried the same feel of original.

3)Cinematography: Popular cinematographer Rathnavelu shot the film in a rich manner and he also made Chiru look young in many frames.Chiranjeevi stylists deserves special mention for bringing stunning look for Chiru.

Minus Points:

1)Music: DSP terribly disappointed with his lame imitation of Kaththi theme. He could have tried his own Background score or used the original theme as it is.But he tried a Kichidi version of Kaththi theme which resulted in a childish video game score.Even his songs may impress mass audience but they are just rehash of his old songs. Background score is the major highlight of Kaththi but here it failed miserably and spoiled many scenes, even the famous Coin Fight scene too.Songs placement is so bad.

2)Casting: Except Chiru,Ali and the old persons rest of them failed to impress.Kajal is bad and her costumes are worse.Villain Tarun Arora is so lame.He did not match anywhere near Neil Nitin of original.

3)Comedy: The comedy track between Chiru and Brahmanandham,Chiru and Posani are totally outdated and irritating. Why the heck do they even tried to add these unnecessarily.

4)Dialogues: Except few dialogues, most of them are not at all striking and fails to impress.

So,Khaidhi No.150 is a proof that Mega star never lost his charm even after this long gap.But other than him, this movie is just a mediocre remake of Kaththi. One Time Watch
