This is (not has to be) the best thing ever on TV. Meet 'Tales of the Unexpected' with 'Fantasy Island' with 'Babylon' all wrapped up in layers of intricate observations and obsessions on the human condition. Utterly beautiful and brilliant.
Season 1 is a 9.5. Season 2 is a 12. Stunning scenery interplays with complex situations and growing diverse outcomes for the characters based on (first instance) innocent motivations.
I watched the lot in a binge and I've never done that before!!
It takes you by the throat and just won't let loose until you have sat in awe of the 14 episodes,
Don't delay...watch today.
So, The BBC can commission excellent drama far beyond the mediocre hum-drum crap we normally get fed! This drama is an exceptional work, brilliantly crafted and superbly acted throughout which asks and answers the big questions apropos our rights and our privacy versus protection of the State in a growing and ever intrusive and expanding Big Brother Police State. Great acting. Fantastic plot with compelling twists and turns all over the plot. The big question is...why does the BBC commission its mediocre crap when there is talent around to produce such quality? Or maybe this is a Deep-Fake comment!!
This is a wonderfully crafted and thoughtful work of microscopic analysis exploring the complicated multi-faceted layers of a long-lasting marriage and the extraneous interactions and relationships that effect its health and trust of each other in that relationship. Sean Bean is brilliant (socially awkward) and Nicola W (put upon and says nothing) is just superb. Finally, a decent BBC drama! Maybe the BBC will learn and commission more quality productions line Marriage. This is a wonderful watch but you have to invest in the characters and get past episode one. It's worth the investment of your time you won't be disappointed.
This is an awesome movie. The characters are portrayed brilliantly, the tension of modern v old world is compelling and gripping. The cop v cop storyline is an equal contender in a great story.
This is a hidden gem of a film. Cracking story of revenge with a bit of fighting!! Seriously, it's all in context...and brutal. Great final fight scene and plot twist.
This started very well and lasted two episodes. It just collapsed after that, utter dribble. The final episode was just pure torture. I can only say don't waste your time. It's not worth it,
Could have been a Peach; a great film!! It's a Lemon
This had the potential to be a great film. Instead it is a hum-drum confusing mishmash of a script with too many loose ends and incomplete narrative. Not a GR triumph at all!!
This could have been a really great story, it could have been so much more than the poorly acted, poorly told mediocre dribble with silly camera angles and daft special effects that we got. Massive disappointment.
This is a film that should be 2 hours max. It's just a dull diatribe mixed with regurgitated scenes of yesteryear. There are some good points that save the day if it wasn't for these I'd award 5.
This is a great easy watching movie. Brilliant plot and storyline with great characters and twists. Well worth the viewing investment you'll love it. The different tribes are great and allow the story to diversify and create stories within the story.
This is a beautiful yet stark statement of life on the edge of the rules and the bounds of reality, as society sees it!! Endless pressure and grind of existence in a uniform combined with revenge.
This has to be one of the best things on TV. Simply great plot with great characters. Tragic, heroic, compelling, agonising, wonderful and beautiful. Brilliant from start to finish.
It's ok. That's it ok. Six episodes of ok that could be three! Slow and tepid. Not compelling nor gripping. This is a plot that just takes tooooo long to get to its conclusion.
Worth a watch. Deals well, in a measured yet compelling way, with the money-grabbing, back-stabbing, power-playing events of 2008 through a micro-view of a few individuals in one firm.
This has to be the best thing on TV. It is a wonderful, heartfelt journey of a man who has lost his wife, his friend, his soulmate and his struggle back from the brink to a place where he can be happy again.
A gripping and utterly brilliant piece of work with superb acting and storytelling of a really very horrible and ugly set of events compounded by Police incompetence and disinterest in the victims.
This is an excellent production. A great dramatisation of a rather incredible story. The story-telling is first class with the acting to match. HG is wonderful and so is the entire cast. Great acting and delivery. Can't believe it's a BBC production!!
This is an absolute cracker. It is a slow burn but don't let that put you off...the tension just keeps building to the very end. The storyline and the acting really draw you in. I binge watched the whole thing and I don't do that; the tension pulls you in and grips you like a vice.
This is without a doubt the funniest show on TV ever. The character depth and plots are brilliantly constructed and delivered. Colin the 'Energy Vampire' is pure genius.
This is worth a watch. The first 15 minutes of the film 10/10. The remainder is just a downward spiral of degenerating plot and story line with action errors and a white t-shirt that never gets dirty.
