Animal
(2023)

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's disgusting fantasy
I finally had the chance to watch this movie on netflix. It could have been a great action film if not for the poor direction, ridiculously long runtime and negative stereotypes.

One of the biggest flaws of this movie was its messy narrative. Non-linear narratives are nothing uncommon in movies. Some of the best movies have non-linear narratives but there is a proper way to show it. The director Sandeep Reddy Vanga failed miserably to show a proper non-linear narrative in this movie. It was very unorganized and I was confused several times during the movie whether certain events were happening in flashbacks or in present day.

Another flaw is its poor execution. This is evident mainly during the action sequences when there are songs playing in the background. It totally ruins the mood and because of that, the intensity of the action is not felt at all. No doubt the songs were awful but the fact that some of those songs were being played during the fights made it even worse and this supposedly violent action film seemed like a comedy film. This is a sign of poor direction and lack of knowledge of how to portray action sequences.

The ridiculously long runtime is another problem. The plot of this movie is not something good enough to support the movie for 3.5 hours so they had to fill some parts in with songs and this made the movie quite unbearable. Luckily I saw this movie on netflix so I was able to skip the unnecessary parts.

This movie has some nasty scenes which didn't need to be there. The underwear jokes, the kissing scenes and the sex scenes were totally unnecessary and without them, the movie could have been much better.

Another massive flaw of this movie was the negative stereotypes. People are shown to be drinking alcohol at a Muslim wedding. Seriously? What kind of Muslim wedding is this? Has the director personally been to any Muslim wedding where alcohol is served? Alcohol consumption is unequivocally prohibited in Islam. Aside from that Muslim men are portrayed as perverted psychopaths while Muslim women are portrayed as promiscuous and shameless. Anyone with common sense would know that this is nothing but a sick fantasy which exists only in the director's mind. This is extremely outrageous. Somehow this doesn't surprise me since vilification of Muslims is the new norm in Bollywood.

Another issue was that throughout the entire movie there were no police involvement. So many people dead and so many shootings and killings, yet absolutely no police presence. Ranbir and his entire gang fly to Scotland and kill so many men, yet there's no police. The final fight between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol happens on a runway yet there's no police around. Ranbir and his gang fly back and their wounds are still fresh. How is this possible? What the actual F?

Finally the most ridiculous thing in the movie was watching Ranbir Kapoor using 2 axes to take down 300 men with machine guns ALL BY HIMSELF while the rest of his gang were singing. After watching this movie, I'm fully convinced that the script of this movie was written by a mentally ill person. It's an absolute shame that a movie like this actually made so much money.

Coming to the performances, Ranbir Kapoor gave his career best performance in this movie. No doubt the movie was terrible but his unbelievably good performance is definitely one of the few positives in this movie. The intensity required to portray this character of a troubled child with daddy issues who grows up to become a merciless crime boss was well present in his performance. This is mainly because part of the character has similarities with Ranbir Kapoor's personal life. His relationship with his father Rishi Kapoor was quite similar to the character's relationship with his father in this movie. Distant and unhealthy. So to a particular extent, Ranbir was playing himself.

Anil Kapoor was amazing as the emotionally distant and absent father. He's one of the few actors who is doing amazing in almost every movie he's in even at this age.

Bobby Deol was pretty good in his extremely short role. He was there in only 3 scenes and that too in the last hour of this 3.5 hour long movie. I really wish he had more screen time but alas! Given his poor star status, this is all he can get in Bollywood today.

Rashmika Mandanna was absolutely unbearable. The biggest problem is that her Hindi is very bad. It becomes quite evident since her sentences change very often from "tum" and "tumhara" to "tu" and "tera". In one scene she uses "tum" while talking to Ranbir and she ends the sentence with "tera". Her acting was horrible. Even Tripti Dimri got more recognition despite Rashmika being the lead actress in this movie. Rashmika really needs improve on her Hindi before she can think of doing movie Hindi movies.

The rest of the actors and actresses did fine in their roles. Overall this movie could have easily been an enjoyable action film if not for the above mentioned flaws. The director Sandeep Reddy Vanga failed to deliver a decent action film. This film suffers from poor execution and is nothing but the director's disgusting fantasy.

Sandeep needs to understand that putting songs in movies make it unbearable and unwatchable. This is not the Bollywood of the 80's and 90's. Also putting songs in the background during fight scenes makes the action laughable and turns it in to a comedy film.

To those who didn't watch it in the theatres, good job! If you wanna watch it, do so on netflix where you can skip the nasty and unnecessary parts.

The Beekeeper
(2024)

Jason Statham doing what he does best
This is the kind of action film Jason Statham is famous for. This is him doing what he does best. It was intense from start to finish. What I really liked about this movie is how the story unfolded. It has a nice beekeeping element attached to it which adds a beautiful flavour to the story.

The director David Ayer has made some really good movies in the past like Harsh Times, End of Watch and Fury and this is one is yet another great movie from him. He knew exactly what kind of story he wanted to tell and he was able to do it nicely.

This movie is about taking down scammers, which is a concept that wasn't touched yet until now. Glad a movie like this is made since phishing scam has become extremely widespread these days. To the Indians, this movie is for you people.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
(2023)

Not as good as the previous movies
First and foremost, hats off to Tom Cruise and the entire cast & crew for all the hardwork they put in to make this movie. No doubt the stunts and action sequences were fantastic, more so because they were actually done instead of resorting to some lame CGI. All of the scenes were amazingly choreographed.

One interesting thing is that they increased the situational humour in this movie so it contains more funny moments compared to the previous movies. So that's a good thing.

Now that we got that out of the way, lets come to the flaws. Why were the Russian officers speaking English with one another inside a Russian submarine? Jack Ryan Season 3 had the same problem. Showing all the Russians to be speaking English is ridiculous. They could have easily shown them to be speaking Russian and put subtitles on.

Another problem is the pacing. During the middle of the movie, it became extremely slow. Especially the scene where they were in Venice attending the gala night. The pace became extremely slow and I nearly fell asleep quite a few time during the movie.

Also during the deal when Grace was posing as Alana, the talking was too long and the pace became extremely slow again making me wish I could fast forward.

Another surprise was the death of Ilsa. I did not see that coming. I don't really see the point of killing her off. Having her in the team would have been fun and there was absolutely no reason to kill her off.

In my opinion this movie was good but not great. The pacing in this movie was a little uneven so it was hard to enjoy every bit of it. Nonetheless it had a lot of enjoyable moments, mainly the action scenes but overall it was a little weak compared to the previous movies. Hopefully part 2 will be better than this.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
(2023)

Didn't expect it to be such a disappointment
As a huge fan of the original trilogy, I was deeply disappointed with this movie. Not only is this movie an insult to the character of Indiana Jones and the impact it had on the fans, but also a huge insult to our common sense and reasoning.

Aside from the opening sequence, the whole movie was about Helena Shaw and her desire to pursue what her father couldn't. Most of the fighting in the movie was done by her while Indiana Jones was shown as a lazy and careless old man who constantly got overpowered and emasculated every few minutes throughout the entire movie.

I'm honestly curious as to what the writers of this movie were thinking while writing this movie. Why name this movie Indiana Jones if Helena Shaw will get most of the limelight? Should have named the movie Helena Shaw and the Dial of Destiny instead since she was the most active and did most of the fighting.

Most of the movie was a huge snoozefest and I honestly lost count of how many times I dozed off during the movie. The pacing was very inconsistent and did not meet the standards of the original trilogy.

The characters in the movie especially Indiana Jones were very poorly written while some actors like Toby Jones and Antonio Banderas were totally wasted. I don't think it would have made much of a difference if they weren't in this movie. Maybe they have bills to pay but this movie is a massive waste of their respective talents.

The villains in the movie were shown to be overly powerful and always catching up to Indiana Jones so quickly no matter where they were. How unrealistic! How can any human recover this quickly after barely surviving an explosion?

Another massive flaw was seeing a Moroccan village boy, whose first language isn't English and who has never been to America, speaking fluent English with an American accent. Honestly these new age Hollywood writers are so out of touch with reality, it's pathetic! They'll write any form of nonsense without doing any proper research and shamelessly expect us to like it. Not happening!

Finally, the biggest flaw of this movie was showing that same village boy flying a plane without any proper training whatsoever. Now this is a boy who has absolutely no knowledge of aviation and has never flown a plane before. Even some of the most professional pilots struggle to fly this well when it rains and here's a teenage boy flying it like a pro under such poor weather conditions. What nonsense is this? Did the writers think we're this dumb? What were they thinking while writing that particular sequence? I can't believe I would get to see such ridiculous things in an Indiana Jones movie. If this was a Fast & Furious movie, I would have overlooked it since those movies are famous for being nonsensical and unrealistic.

Now coming to performances, Harrison Ford did the best he could. He did his part fairly well but unfortunately his character was weakened which prevented it from showing its full potential. Phoebe Waller-Bridge got more limelight in this movie so most of the movie belonged to her. She acted in this movie how she usually acts. A sassy and overly entitled woman. Mads Mikkelsen and Boyd Holbrook were great as the villains. They were perfectly cast as their respective characters. Antonio Banderas and Toby Jones were totally wasted as I mentioned before. The rest of the cast did alright.

Coming to the direction, no doubt James Mangold is a fantastic director who has made some great movies in the past but unfortunately for this movie, he pretty much had no idea what the fans were expecting. That's where the real problem is. Of course replacing Steven Spielberg as the director is no joke but this movie doesn't even meet Mangold's own standards given how amazing his last two movies (Logan and Ford v. Ferrari) were. Because of this, he ended up delivering such a poorly made sequel which comes nowhere close to the standards of the original trilogy.

Overall this movie is a big disappointment for fans such as myself and many others who enjoyed the original trilogy but for those who are watching an Indiana Jones movie for the first time, they might find it enjoyable. For them it's a one time watch. The only way to enjoy this movie is to switch off your common sense and reasoning before watching it.

No doubt it has some fairly enjoyable moments like the action sequences which were well done but overall this movie failed to meet the standards of the original trilogy. Not what I expected from a final Indiana Jones movie.

Farzi
(2023)

Great series but has its fair share of flaws
A man whose poor financial condition and relentless ambition drives him to manufacture counterfeit bills using his extraordinary artistic skills in order to become rich. In the process he ends up working for a well known criminal mastermind who is at the forefront of this counterfeit racket.

It's a fantastic concept followed by some brilliant performances however it has its fair share of flaws.

A huge flaw is the part where Megha sees the counterfeit bills at the restaurant but she doesn't even bother to check the CCTV footage which could have easily shown her who put all those counterfeit bills there.

Second flaw is when Michael and Shekhar are in Bangladesh to catch Bilal. They are sitting at a tea stall where in English it says "Tea stall" and in Bengali it says "Tea store". Huge goof that can't be overlooked especially for those who can read Bengali.

Another flaw is that when Mansoor tells Jitu Kaka to leave for India. Both of them are in Jordan but within an hour Jitu Kaka is shown to have reached India, sitting in the car with Jamal when Sunny and Firoz are waiting to be picked up.

Aside from these flaws, it's an enjoyable series from start to finish. Brilliant performances by the four main leads as well as some of the supporting characters. By the end of the season finale, it was quite obvious that there will be a second season. Definitely looking forward to that.

Taxi Driver
(1976)

Literally a pointless movie
No idea why this movie has such high ratings. The only good thing about this movie is Robert De Niro's performance. Other than that this movie literally has nothing to offer. It doesn't even have a proper story. Just an insomniac cabbie picking and dropping people off around the city and observing how the city dives deeper into filth and degeneracy resulting in the deterioration of his mental health.

Throughout the whole movie I was waiting for something interesting to happen and I found absolutely nothing. If anything, then there's some interesting stuff that happens near the end of the movie and that's pretty much it. Overall it's a pointless movie and offers literally nothing aside from a brilliant performance by Robert De Niro.

Sleepers
(1996)

Awesome movie!
Wow, just wow! What a movie! Full of emotions and a close look at the harsh reality. I'm totally speechless.

This movie is about four friends who end up in a juvenile prison after a prank goes wrong. In prison they experience unimaginable amount of physical, mental and sexual abuse by four prison guards. Several years later two of the four boys now adults decide to extract revenge by killing one of the guards and the rest of the movie is about how they deal with the consequences of this action.

This movie is based on a true story written by one of the four boys this story is about. It gives us a picture of the atrocities experienced by young boys in a juvenile prison. Many would like to sweep it under the carpet and pretend these incidents don't happen but as the saying goes "the truth is stranger than fiction".

Beautifully executed and directed by Barry Levinson. The pacing was great and the performances by all the actors especially Brad Pitt and Robert De Niro were amazing!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
(1986)

Life moves pretty fast...
A carefree teenager decides to skip school and enjoy the day with his girlfriend and best friend. His philosophy is that life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. He takes advantage of every chance he gets to have fun during the day while his sister and the school principal are out to expose him.

Fantastic concept and brilliant execution. This movie focuses on how high schoolers feel about school and life. It shows how sometimes you gotta take it easy and relax for a bit. Life will keep moving so you gotta stop and chill once in a while. Even though I'm far past my high school phase, I really enjoyed this movie.

Matthew Broderick delivered a fantastic performance as the mischievous Ferris Bueller. His dialogue delivery and expressions were on point. His reluctant best friend Cameron Frye is played by Alan Ruck who also delivered an amazing performance. The principal Rooney played by Jeffrey Jones was also great. Jennifer Grey also did good as the sister of Ferris.

John Hughes did a great job. His direction is beautiful and in my opinion, this movie is easily his best work. He did a brilliant job focusing on the city Chicago and shooting the film on location.

This movie is a classic 80's comedy which will bring back a lot of nostalgia. It's a beautifully made comedy film which will make you laugh every few minutes throughout the whole movie. Whether you're a teenager or a middle aged adult, this movie can be enjoyed by anyone. I'm very fortunate to have come across this movie.

After watching this movie, I finally understand why this movie has become a cult classic. Makes me wish I got to take advantage of all the chances I had to have fun during high school. This movie is definitely one of my all time favourites.

The Green Mile
(1999)

Sometimes a little bit of compassion can go a long way
This is one of those movies where you won't be able to control your tears by the end of it. I usually don't cry during movies but this movie hit me hard.

A former prison guard in an old home tells his story of the time when he was a prison guard during the depression. That was a time when he had the worst urinary infection. One day they bring in a prisoner who is convicted of raping and murdering two young girls. Surprisingly he happens to possess some mysterious powers. The prison guard Paul Edgecomb has his bladder infection cured, his boss's wife's brain tumour is gone and a dead mouse is brought back to life.

This movie is 3 hours long yet didn't feel long at all. The way these prison guards bond with the prisoners especially John Coffey is what this movie is about.

When a criminal gets away, it's terrible but when an innocent person is punished for a crime he didn't commit, the heart sinks.

This movie shows the human side of the prison guards and their bonding with the prisoners. This movie shows that sometimes a little compassion can go a long way.

Acting was top notch. Tom Hanks, Sam Rockwell, Michael Clarke Duncan, David Morse and Barry Pepper were amazing! They were perfect for their roles.

This movie is based on a novel by Stephen King who is famous for writing horror stories but with this story he makes us all cry. By the end of the movie I couldn't control my tears. Such a beautiful movie and such great direction by Frank Darabont.

Glass Onion
(2022)

Could have been better
Unlike the first movie, which was more of a cheesy family drama, this one actually felt like a murder mystery. Pacing was great and the sequences were well organized however the climax and the ending could have been much better. The slow motion scene was super lame.

The guy on the island who was "just there" was literally doing nothing and there was no reason for him to be there on the island. No idea why they even put that character there in the first place. Who was he? What was his purpose?

Daniel Craig's fake southern accent was quite unbearable at times. I think filmmakers should never offer him characters which require speaking in a southern accent. He just sucks at imitating it.

Overall this movie had a lot of potential but the above mentioned flaws ruined it. Glad I chose to watch it on netflix instead of going to the theatres. Not a theatre worthy movie at all.

CAT
(2022)

Randeep Hooda at his best...
A young man is used by the police as a spy to take down dangerous criminals. As the show progresses, more and more events unfold and the truth finally starts to come out. Eventually he figures out that he is nothing but a pawn in a much bigger game and his past comes back to haunt him.

Great concept and fantastic performance by Randeep Hooda. This show is a proof of his true potential and how brilliant of an actor he really is. It's a shame that he doesn't get a lot of good roles in movies. The pacing was great and the plot twists were simply amazing!

My only issues were with the few vulgar scenes which were totally unnecessary. Overall it's a great show which has a lot of potential to be a successful series in the future if the vulgarity can be avoided.

Looking at how the show ended, it's quite obvious that there will be a second season. Eagerly looking forward to that.

The English
(2022)

Slow romantic drama with a western backdrop
A slow burn western drama about an Englishwoman who has come to the American wild west so kill the man responsible for the death of her son. She enlists the help of a Pawnee tribesman who is also a former soldier of the US army.

Great concept but the pacing was ridiculously slow. It wasn't well organized. The first three episodes were good and my expectations increased after that however the fourth episode and the two after that were disappointing. Dialogues were not clear at all and it was extremely confusing. One would have to have subtitles and pay special attention to really understand what is going on. This goes for even those who speak proper English.

The lead characters have no chemistry at all and I cringed hard at the moments they express their love for each other. Their love seemed forced and I find it quite amusing how they showed an Englishwoman to be so kind and sweet to a Native American. The makers clearly had no idea how the English folks viewed Native Americans. Nonetheless the show has great cinematography and the performances of Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer were great!

As a fan of western movies and shows, this series is quite weak and doesn't do justice to western shows. Making western shows isn't everyone's cup of tea. This is more of a romantic drama with a western backdrop.

Khakee: The Bihar Chapter
(2022)

Fantastic crime drama
This was a pleasant surprise. Fast paced, action packed, intense from start to finish. A cat and mouse game between an aspiring cop and a cold blooded criminal across the state of Bihar. Based on a true story.

The way the story unfolds is simply awesome! Both Karan Tacker and Avinash Tiwary delivered brilliant performances. It's quite amazing how these small actors can deliver much better performances than most of the mainstream actors in Bollywood. This show doesn't have any mainstream actor yet it is better than majority of the Bollywood movies and tv shows.

Great direction and fantastic choice of actors. Abhimanyu Singh, Ashutosh Rana and Anup Soni were also brilliant in their respective roles. From the very beginning this show sets the pace and it keeps getting faster with each episode. So glad to have come across this gem of a show. The most beautiful thing about this show is that it doesn't have any sex scenes. People can easily watch it with their family. This show is proof that you don't need any vulgarity in order to make a good show. Hats off to Neeraj Pandey!

Dhokha: Round D Corner
(2022)

Aparshakti Khurana stole the show...
This was a good and enjoyable thriller. Goes to show how the truth is often ignored and how the lie is often more believable than the truth. Performance wise, Aparshakti Khurana outshined everyone in this movie. He played the misunderstood terrorist very well. Good to see him getting good roles like this. In my opinion he is a far better actor than his older brother. Madhavan was great in his role as usual. Darshan Kumar played his part very well as the cop.

Overall the movie is an enjoyable thriller even though it is quite predictable. The only flaws were the unnecessary songs without which, the movie runtime could have easily been reduced and the unnecessary romance between the terrorist and the housewife. It was quite unrealistic for the terrorist to be imagining her in the mental hospital near the end.

Halloween Ends
(2022)

Is this a joke?
This is undoubtedly the worst Halloween movie ever! What were the makers thinking? Literally brought in some random guy and made him victim of bullying and ostracism only to end up as a psychopath. Not only that but he joins hands with Michael Myers to kill people. Really? Literally made Corey the main character in this movie followed by some cringeworthy romance with Allyson.

I wasted 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. There was hardly any Michael Myers in this movie. Huge injustice to the fans of Halloween. It was marketed as the final showdown between Michael and Laurie and what did we get? Some misunderstood guy who goes crazy after being bullied. Didn't even feel like a Halloween film. Massive downgrade from Halloween (2018). I'm glad this is the final film in the franchise. Don't need more of this type of horrible sequel.

My 2 stars are for the performance of the actor who played Corey. Great performance by him!

1408
(2007)

Not a good one
Although it claims to be a horror film, it doesn't quite live up to it. Most of the movie is John Cusack's character trying to survive inside the room but throughout the movie, there's literally no explanation about what it is that makes 1408 such an evil room. No explanation on why those who check in to that room end up dead one way or another.

In my opinion it is not a good horror film at all. There were hardly any scary moments. This movie focuses more on terror rather than horror. It should have been promoted as a psychological thriller rather than a horror film.

John Cusack delivered a good performance. Samuel L. Jackson's role was more of a cameo. Wouldn't have made any difference if he wasn't in it. Overall it's not a good movie in terms of horror. One time watch.

Falling Down
(1993)

Amazing reflection of reality
This movie was unbelievably good! The character of William Foster played by Michael Douglas is a guy just trying to meet his daughter for her birthday. He comes across many scumbags who try to ruin his already terrible day. He tries his best to steer clear of any problem yet some of the people are just hard to deal with. He finally loses his temper and starts attacking anyone who tried to get in his way.

Every one of us can relate to this character. We all have had bad days. Days when we just want to finish work and head home yet we come across many obstacles which make it hard for us. Despite being the one who has been wronged, William Foster is eventually portrayed as the bad guy because of all those who wronged him.

Fantastic concept and brilliant direction by Joel Schumacher. Michael Douglas delivered a wonderful performance. This movie is so close to reality and so beautifully paced that I just couldn't take my eyes off the screen.

This movie is an amazing reflection of reality. This movie shows everything wrong with the society. It shows what happens when a simple man is pushed so much. It shows how easily an innocent man can be made to look like the bad guy because of how disgusting the society is.

I enjoyed every bit of this movie and it's a must watch for everyone.

Friday
(1995)

Hilarious
Finally got to see this movie after all these years. Enjoyable and hilarious from start to finish. So many awesome punch lines which are popular even today.

Even though the plot isn't that great, the comedy was on point and makes it worth the time. Chris Tucker was too good in his character. Laughed hard every time he opened his mouth in the movie. His get up, comic timing, dialogue delivery were perfect. The writer did a great job.

The 90's had some of the greatest movies of all time. It's a shame that movies like this aren't made anymore. No creativity these days. This movie is a must watch for fans of comedy films.

Tumbbad
(2018)

Good thriller with a mythological touch
This movie is a good thriller. It has a mythological touch and has a good message in the end. The only thing I didn't like was it being labelled as a horror film when there were hardly any scary moments in the film.

Saw III
(2006)

Superb!
Fantastic third instalment in the Saw franchise. This one is much more violent than the previous two movies. The plot was amazing! Definitely more intense than the previous two movies. The twist in the end was gold!

Day Shift
(2022)

Fun vampire film
This was highly enjoyable vampire flick. Loads of action and the comedy was great too. This is one of those movies that you don't have to use much of your brain to understand. Just dumb fun. Highly uplifting and a fun vampire film. Better than expected.

Parker
(2013)

Disappointing
The whole movie was a drag. It was all about preparing to take revenge and hardly any action. No idea why this was promoted as an action film. Starts off nicely and then becomes extremely slow. Very disappointing.

Machete
(2010)

Silly but fun
A fun movie that can be watched without using a lot of your mind. Entertaining from start to finish. It delivers exactly what it promises. Fights, blood, explosions.

London
(2005)

Yet another underrated film
A crackhead tries to win back his ex-girlfriend by going uninvited to her farewell party with his crack dealer who's not really a dealer but a currency broker. Decent concept and decent execution. Great performances by Chris Evans and Jason Statham. In this movie the highlight is the bathroom conversation between those two. Both of them are such good actors. They should definitely do more movies together. It's quite unfortunate that this movie went unnoticed. In this movie, Jason Statham proves that he can deliver a brilliant performance even without any action.

I personally think the name of the movie should have been "Going Away" instead of London since most of the movie takes place at the "going away" party. Nonetheless it was a good movie and highly underrated.

Cellular
(2004)

Highly underrated film
This movie is highly underrated. Fantastic concept which proves to be a very enjoyable thriller. A guy trying to win back his ex-girlfriend receives a call from a woman who has been kidnapped by a group of corrupt cops. Now he has to risk his life and help her to make sure she and her family are able to survive, all while staying on the phone line. Very close to reality. Goes to show how one fine day can completely turn into something unimaginable.

Coming to performances, Chris Evans is the star of this movie. His performance was simply amazing. It's really sad that most people started noticing him only after Captain America but this movie is a prime example of how great of an actor he really is. Jason Statham did a great job as the villain. Completely opposite to the heroic characters he usually plays. Kim Basinger did fine as the kidnapped woman. Rick Hoffman plays an idiotic lawyer and he provided a bit of comic relief. Now I'm starting to think that maybe his character in this movie was the reason why he was chosen to play Louis Litt in Suits since these two characters are very similar in nature. The rest of the actors played their parts well.

Overall this movie is a highly interesting thriller. I enjoyed it from start to finish and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who's a fan of Chris Evans and Jason Statham.
