WrestleMania 22
(2006)

Amazing,controversial,shocking, you name it...
The outcome of the main event may have changed peoples opinions of Wrestlemania22, but believe me, this show was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, WWE delivered, giving us something we haven't seen in a long while - a lot lot of attitude.

Tag Team Championship Match - Kane&Big Show vs. Carlito&Masters - This was a good opener, the match itself was pretty good and the finish was exciting. Half way through though, the Carlito chants started, and Big Show and Kane actually got booed by a section of the crowd. Now if Big Show and Kane got booed, that was bad news for poor old John Cena.

The next match was the Money In The Bank Match - Rob Van Dam vs. Matt Hardy vs. Lashley vs. Finlay vs. Ric Flair vs. Shelton Benjamin. - Why was this match so low down the card? This was an amazing match, full of highlights and painful moments. RVD and Shelton Benjamin were amazing, Benjamin stole the show again with another amazing trick with a 10 foot ladder. The ECW chants filled the arena, RVD was clearly the fan favourite. Great ending as well. RVD wins and becomes the new Mr. Money In The Bank.

United States Championship - Chris Benoit vs. JBL - This was a pretty good match, Benoit was great. Cheap finish though. I was not expecting JBL to win a at all. JBL rolls up Benoit and holds onto the ropes for the win. New champion.

Hardcore Match - Mick Foley vs. Edge - Oh My God. Joey Styles was brought in to call this one, and rightfully so. This match was just mental. Tumb tacks, steel chairs, you name it, Foley and Edge beat the hell out of each other. This match also possibly had the greatest ending to a Wrestlemania match in years. Foley got a spear through a table from the apron. Oh and that table happened to be on fire. Edge wins this one and keeps his Wrestlemania winning streak. Amazing match.

Booker T&Sharmell vs. The Boogeyman- No match could have followed the Foley-Edge match so I guess it made sense to put this already hopeless match right after it. Very little wrestling in this one, mainly funny moments and Sharmell screaming. Boogeyman wins. Not a bad match overall, just really pointless.

Women's Championship - Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James - Finally! A good women's match at Wrestlemania. This was a great match, and was actually long unlike so many women's matches theses days. Loads of action in this one. Again though, the Chicago booed the supposed fan favourite and chanted for Mickie instead. Now if this wasn't a sign that poor John Cena was going to get booed so bad, I didn't know what was. Great match, Mickie James wins and becomes the new women's champion!

Casket MatchMatch - Undertaker vs. Mark Henry - Alright match, Taker against Mark Henry was never going to be a classic. A few good highlights. Like Undertaker's amazing leap over the top ropes onto Henry on the outside - he hasn't done that in a while. The crowd went nuts when Taker Tombstoned the world's strongest man. Taker wins and buries Henry.

No Holds Barred - Shawn Michaels vs. Vince Mcmahon - Wow. This was really great. Michaels and Vince took it to each other. Shane Mcmahon tried to interfere but ended up getting handcuffed to the ropes on the outside by Michaels. Then Michaels went nuts, and so did the crowd. He nearly killed poor Vince. Great ending - Michaels takes out an extra large ladder, sets Mcmahon down on a table in the middle of the ring and elbow drops him from the ladder through the table. The crowd went crazy. Micheals did a lot of old DX suck it taunts in this match, and the crowd went crazy. A DX reunion? Please say yes. Michaels wins.

Smackdown! Main Event - Triple Threat for the World Heavyweight Championship - Super match. As soon as the bell rang, the action begun. Amazing ending, nobody thought Mysterio could actually do it. Mysterio gives Orton the 619 followed by a Hurricanrana and wins! Mysterio is the new World Heavyweight Champion. Angle couldn't believe it, and either could the crowd.

WWE Championship - John Cena vs. Triple H - This was it, the main event. And Cena got booed, booed badly. It sounded like every single person in attendance was booing Cena. The commentators accepted it, Cena was no longer the fan favourite. Triple H was getting cheered. Triple H amazingly gave the fans a DX suck it taunt, just like Michaels had done. The crowd went nuts again. This was a great main event but it was the Chicago crowd that made this one. Cena was hated on the night. Loads of action and loads of near pins(including Triple H kicking out of the F-U) until Triple H gave up and tapped out to Cena's submission move. The crowd could not believe it. Their reaction was truly priceless. There is no way Cena can be a good guy anymore, no way. Definitely a controversial ending to a super Wrestlemania.

Altogether, Wrestlemania 22 was spectacular. 10/10 without a doubt. Definitely the best Wrestelmania in years. So many amazing matches, and definitely so much more hardcore and attitude in A Wrestlemania that we haven't's seen in years.

WWE No Way Out
(2006)

Great With A 5 Star Main Event
No Way Out 2006 was without a doubt, the best No Way Out ppv in years. Both an impressive undercard and an amazing main event easily make this the best pay per view so far this year.

The Cruiserweight Match was great and a perfect opener- So many high flying moves, so many bumps... Great ending as well. Helms retains the title. 4/5. Lashley vs. JBL was a lot better than expected, both men were impressive in this match and the crowd were really rooting for Lashley. Finlay's interference at the end helps JBL get a cheap victory and finally end Lashley's impressive winning streak.3/5. MNM vs. Matt Hardy and Tatanka (his secret partner) was a good match, but it's only at the end that we find out it was a non-title match, a lot of people actually thought we had new champions. 3/5

Chris Benoit vs. Booket T was a great match. These guys always put on a good show. Benoit wins with the cross-face and becomes the new US champion! As Booker T leaves the ring, the crowd chant 'You tapped out'. 4/5 Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio was another great match. But Randy wins? Why? Anyway, great match. Mysterio was amazing as always. Orton wins with a cheap roll-up after Rey misses the 619. 4/5.

Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker - World Heavyweight Championship match. Wow. I mean... wow. This was superb, Angle and Taker worked so well together. So many highlights, like the angle slam on Taker through the announcers table for example. Wow. Taker was so close at the end, only to have his Tombstone reversed somehow into an ankle lock, and at the finish being rolled up by Angle. Truly amazing. Before this match, No Way Out 06' was above average, this main event made it unmissable. Match - 5/5.

No Way Out 2006 over all was really good. Best No Way Out in years and it certainly topped this years dreary New Year's Revolution and disappointing Royal Rumble. And what a main event...

WWE Taboo Tuesday
(2004)

Horrible
there was a good build up to Taboo Tuesday, the first ever interactive ppv where 'the fans choose the matches and stipulations'. Taboo Tuesday turned out to be a real bore.

CHRIS JERICHO VS. SHELTON BENJAMIN - Only decent match of the night but this match could have been a lot better. Jericho vs. Benjamin seemed like a dream match but it just didn't work all that well. 6/10

DIVA BATTLE ROYAL -The fans got to fulfil their fantasy here, and choose between an evening gown match, aerobics thing or a lingerie pillow fight. They chose the pillow fight. Good for the reason that there was loads of half naked women jumping on each other in a ring. Bad if you actually want to see some wrestling. Just watch some porn instead. 2/10

KANE VS. SNITSKY - Oh dear god this was horrible. And I don't mean brutal, I mean horrible. It was disgusting to watch, surprising that Kane was in such a rubbish match. The fans chose a steel chain as the weapon to be used in the match, maybe if they chose a steel chair the match would have been half decent. BORING AS HELL - 1/10 EUGENE VS. ERIC BISCHOFF - I don't even want to talk about this. 0/10

LA RESISTANCE VS. BENOIT&EDGE - Tag team wrestling is dead. La Resistance are horrible to watch, if Benoit and Edge were up against a decent tag team it would have been o.k. But no, La Resistance. 4/10

CHRISTY HEMME VS. CARMELLA - I'm sorry, do we wrestlign fans like watching two decent looking girls undress behind a curtain for five minutes. I take it the WWE were just trying to pass time here, because the match itself took two minutes. And it was rubbish. 0/10

TRIPLE H VS. SHAWN MICHAELS - J.R's loud commentary was the only thing keeping me from falling asleep during this match. Michaels was injured, Triple H didn't care. The match was definitely not the worst of the night, but it was still poor. HBK vs. Triple H, sounded like a great match, another big disappointment. - 4/10

RIC FLAIR VS. RANDY ORTON - Ill sum it up in three words- This match stunk. Worst cage match I've seen in a long time.

So that ended Taboo Tuesday. So to sum up, the first interactive ppv, Taboo Tuesday was a horrible event, don't but the DVD. Please!

Love Is the Drug
(2004)

Absolutely Brilliant
When everyone saw the ad that another Irish drama was coming, nobody cared. But this show, was just something special. Apparently it's ratings were unbelievable, that's why they repeated the series again a few months later. Allen Leech is brilliant, this guy is gonna make it big anytime soon. He's alreay been in two big Irish movies but this is the highlight of his career. It's funny, sad , romantic... everything you want to see - something you wouldn't really expect from an Irish drama. For the first time, you could walk into school and everybody would be talking about Love Is the drug, not the o.c or other American shows.

Truly brilliant, well done lads.

Intermission
(2003)

Great Irish movie.
you can watch this film again and again and still find something new in it that's hilarious. Not sure how it did outside of Ireland but honestly, if your Irish you should love this film. Colin Farrell comes back home and is absolutely brilliant in this film. Plus Cillian Murphy, before he made it big in the states. The start of this film is one of the best starts i've ever seen, it puts the film in it's place after just 2 minutes in. Never tried brown sauce in my tea though, i wonder if it is nice.

So watch this film, it's hilarious. And it's a great action film as well. Definitely in my opinion one of the greatest Irish films ever
