'Grindhouse' is two movies in one with fake trailers in between created by movie geniuses Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. With two totally different and twisted plots, 'Grindhouse' puts the thrill of watching movies back to the cinema! So let me start out with the first segment, 'Planet Terror', which was directed by Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Once upon a Time in Mexico, and many more). It was about a science experiment going bad causing a small town of Texas to be infected with a zombie plague that leads a group of miss-matches together to save the world. The movie stars Rose McGowan, Freddy Rodriguez, Marley Shelton, and Josh Brolin. A great cast for a great film. The film had a talented wide-ranging cast that made the first segment of 'Grindhouse' a great zombie slasher. It had a great score from the director, amazing scenes, and a woman with a high-powered machine for a prosthetic leg. Looks like the fun 70's Grindhouse films are back! 'Planet Terror' is truly an entertaining explosion of thrills.

Now let me tell you about the fake trailers in between the movies. They all were full of extreme content from other mastermind directors who brought you good films like Hostel, Cabin Fever, Shaun of the Dead, and so many more. The fake trailers are truly a fun twist to this movie of a lifetime.

The next and final segment, 'Death Proof', is from one of Hollywood's greatest directors, Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2, Reservoir Dogs, Dusk Till Dawn, Jackie Brown, and Pulp Fiction). 'Death Proof' is about an aging stuntman who seeks young women to kill, but it is not you're traditional slasher flick, it is slasher Tarantino style. He kills his victims with his car. It features another wide-ranged cast. It stars Zoë Bell, Rosario Dawson, Tracie Thoms, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Kurt Russell, another terrific cast. 'Death Proof' may have a lot of dialog but it is good dialog. Since Tarantino is known for dialog in his films, this one proves to be no different. The movie also has the best car chase ever seen in cinematic history! The chase scene had NO CGI and Zoë Bell did her own stunts considering she is also a stunt double in real life. 'Death Proof' was a hilarious slasher flick that proves to be no better and no worse than 'Planet Terror'.

So like I just said, I can't choose what movie I liked better. They were both great and Grindhouse in all would be nothing without one another, and I am happy to say that finally there is a new cult classic, and its name? Grindhouse.

This pg-13 horror film was very much advertised for the teen population but as I saw the film I noticed it wasn't like most watered down pg-13 horror movies. It was actually quite better.

The score was very good and added great suspense. Most of the theater, including myself, jumped a lot during this movie. The acting was another thing though. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The only actress who I thought were very passable was the mother who seemed hacked up on pills and alcohol during the whole thing.

'The Messengers' has some cool scenes and great suspense that makes it overall very enjoyable. So I do recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a movie when nothing else good is out.

'The Number 23' wasn't AT ALL as bad as it was hacked up to be by critics. It was actually very good.

It features good acting, dialog, music, suspense shots, and many cool scenes including a very entertaining opening credits sequence.

Though Jim Carrey is trying to be serious I just can't help but laugh at him because I just picture him doing something stupid and funny which he actually does make a couple of his...well...we know how Jim Carrey is.

The movie also has some comic 'Sin City' Esq scenes that prove to be very cool.

The movie has a great twist ending that leaves us with a bitter-sweet conclusion.

This film is very good and I Highly recommend it.

'Wild Hogs' is a comedy like no other! Oh wait yes it is. Like in my previous review for 'Blades of Glory', the originality factor is very slim.

I am going to revisit a point made in the 'Blades of Glory' review. Another geek, another hot girl. So there are many comedic films with that feature. Not only that though but more gay jokes. We have NEVER seen that before have we? The original jokes just keep going on and on in this movie.

The acting is adequate for a movie like this but the dialog is laughable beyond laughable. I mean that in a bad way.

Skip it.

'Blades of Glory' is a spoofing comedy on ice. Well if you want to call it comedy considering I laughed three times in the whole film.

Sure the acting wasn't horrible nor was the dialog but all of the god damn cliques really killed it. This movie has been done so many times before. Needless to say, the geek falls in love with the hot girl who betrays him for the bad guys and then is sorry and gets back with the geek. I've NEVER seen that in a movie before.

As far as the jokes go, there are a lot to keep a general audience laughing but please, these jokes have been told so many times in the last ten years its not even funny.

If you want to see a comedy see this or any other teen comedy. They are all the same.

'The Hills have Eyes II' is truly a disappointment compared to its first film. This movie is about a group of "army members" on a search and rescue mission gone wrong.

Though the film has a so-so plot of its own, the hills 2 two copy cats some of its original scenes. There is a suicidal nut who blows off his own head, a rape scene, and three survivors. The hills have eyes one anybody? The film was basically a sad mess due to its compulsive and pointless cussing, poorly written script, adequate acting, random arguing scenes, a predictable ending, the cast who looks to weak to be in the army let alone in an army horror film, and a lisping idiot. How angry this film made me.

The gore level was just as bad as the first with some original death scenes sure to make you cringe.

So as far as the hills two goes, wait for the DVD and skip it in theaters. You don't want to waste too much on this seems to be three hours actually eighty five minute long movie.

'World Trade Center' is about two men who devoted their lives to saving others during 9/11 and end up getting caught under the ruble of the buildings destruction.

Emotion runs high in this film. It will most definitely tug at your heartstrings but it wasn't the greatest. Naturally you'd think a movie about 9/11 to be a masterpiece and this most definitely was not. The acting was good and so was the plot but the film sort of dragged on with the men talking about their families in just about every scene. The movie was longer than it needed to be because truly it all could have been wrapped up in about one hour.

Though this wasn't the best film ever and I would never watch it again, I'd definitely recommend this to someone who hasn't seen it yet and has a lot of patience.

This is a very real film. It makes you feel as if you were actually on the plane at the time. Now I am not going to actually explain what the film is about because everybody should already know.

Acting in this film would be hard because they have to portray real people before they die but as far as that goes the acting was great! The movie itself sort of dragged though. It almost felt like a documentary by its camera and basically whole style.

Though the long attributes of this film made it a bit boring, it still proved to be good and show us a story of courage and bravery.

That day of 9/11 we saw evil. This film portrays the good taking it over no matter what.

'Pan's Labyrinth' is by far the best foreign film I have ever seen. It focuses on a young girl's adventure to travel back to her home: The Underworld, though that is not the only storyline in the splendidly nice film.

The film has lies, war, blood, loss, death, and magic, all resulting in an extraordinary fairy-tale for grown ups.

The acting is good and full of remorse even though it is in Spanish. Though the whole movie is told through subtitles, it is still easy to follow and entertaining.

The music really helps expand the artful vision in the magical tale. The sets, monsters, and the whole world of the film is truly breathe taking for its Gothic touch of beauty.

'Pan's Labyrinth' is a charming film that is fun and exhilarating to watch. This movie is original and unforgettable. It will always be a classic dark story of believing and never letting go of hope.

'Hannibal Rising' is a grisly drama/horror flick with a touch of remorse. It is about everybody's favorite cannibal, Hannibal, and how he came to be...well himself.

The acting in this film is extraordinarily good. The female heroin played by Li Gong, is an Asian beauty with a love and care for Hannibal and tries to adapt to his murderous ways. The woman is struggling being strong with Hannibal as he seeks revenge fore his sister's murderers.

The movie is suspenseful and has a taste for blood. The scenes of horror are terrifying and make you squirm in your small seat. The film truly is one of the best 'Hannibal' films yet.

'TTCM:TB' was a nice surprise. Sure it wasn't the best but it was good.

Good acting, plot, score, suspense, etc. The gore factor was major though. I mean MAJOR. This was probably one of the most graphic films I have ever seen and it was a little too much. It sort of made you sick to your stomach. I felt upset after watching it too with the ending it had. It was kinda angry and had no love or care-not that angry is bad its just kinda an upsetting movie tone.

The rest was great though! I thought this film to be fun and surprisingly OK.

I recommend it for the extreme horror fan.

'The Grudge' is about an ancient Japanese legend that says-If you enter a house of great horror (Meaning a murder or something horrid took place there) that you become infected with the curse. Phony bologna yes, but the film is creepy and scary.

The characters are all likable so it is creepier to see people you like to die. Very suspenseful and spooky. Good score too.

The acting is A++++ from Sarah Michelle Gellar but some of the other actors need some work. There are some cheesy lines like, "Yoko, are you OK?" when she is covered with blood. Yes its not the best but it is fun and scary.

I recommend this film big time!

'Black Christmas' starts out scary and ends that way. The plot is about a group of sorority sisters being harassed by a serial killer who lived in their house 15 years prior. When ol' killer gets back home, the slay ride begins.

The character development is nice because we see a nice range of girls-Nice, bitchy, slutty, religious, etc. A lot of suspense and a lot of gore. This movie has a nice score and has some fairly well acting. If you like horror films you will definitely like this one because it is original and has that tone to classic horror flicks. It is a fun holiday movie that is for horror fans everywhere.

I definitely recommend this slay ride!

'Pulse' is about a sound-wave coming through electronic devises and basically taking you over and killing you, etc. Cool plot but...

For one thing the acting is horrible. It has pointless scenes, and its just not scary. The characters are unlikeable and are annoying people who you want to die. The film is just an utterly horrible mess. It failed when it could have been good.

'Pulse' is a let down because it looked really good and it seemed as if it was going to be great but it just wasn't. I really tried to like it but I just couldn't. It was that bad.

I do not recommend this to anyone including horror fans.

'The Grudge 2' is just as scary as the first for it gives more info about Kyoko and how the curse began.

The characters in this one are not as good because some are annoying and you want them to die which makes the film less scary but it is still good. The musical score is pretty good and gives a good feeling of suspense. Acting is good from Sarah Michelle Gellar and Amber Tamblyn but some of the others are just eghhh.

The movie is almost comical at times with the Japanese man on the bus playing peekaboo and the housewife hitting her dear hubby over the head with a frying pan causing it to lose its creepiness.

Even though the comedy factor, the film is still terrifying. I recommend it, but you should see the first 'Grudge' well...first.

'The Descent' is about a group of friends who go caving for a fun trip but it soon turns into a terrifying trip when numerous monsters attack. The character development lacks a bit but its OK because there is a lot of characters and you can tell who's who.

The acting in this film is superb along with the whole movie itself. The film features suspenseful music and suspenseful scenes.

This movie might just be one of the best horror films EVER. This is a new cult classic and will never be forgotten.

I highly recommend this film for it is scary, entertaining, and suspenseful, but it is not for the faint heart.

'My Super Ex-Girlfriend' can be described in one word. Dumb. So you think, hmmm I see some good actors in this, Luke Wilson and Uma Thurman, it seems good. WRONG. The characters were stupid and cheesy along with the whole movie.

This film had a good idea but it turned out just plain stupid. It was a waste of time and all of the stupid sexual jokes in it, were not funny!! They were beyond stupid. It was a real let down because it looked funny, I was wrong. So if you see it a store, don't get it because it will ruin your night.

Don't waste your time.

'Dirt' is about a woman, Lucy Spiller (Cox), who works at the tabloid magazines, 'Drrt' and 'Now'. It focuses on the life of Lucy and those around her. The characters of the show are different, outrageous, and hilarious-all with their own personality. Lucy the bitchy, rude, and bitter boss of evil is set out on a goal-HER WORK. Cox's character is struggling with trying to develop an actual social life. The only "friend" Lucy basically has is Don, her schizophrenic paparazzi.

The camera shots are amazing on 'Dirt', along with the writing. The music used is perfect for the show and perfect to listen to when you are in the mood for something fun. The acting is all really good from everybody in this wonderful show.

So watch 'Dirt' and let the dark comedy cheer your day up!

'Little Miss Sunshine' is a total laugh out loud comedy! This film is about a struggling family going to California for the family's little angel's beauty contest. All of the characters are funny and lovable.

'Little Miss Sunshine' is most definitely the best comedy of 2006! Its unique and charming. The acting is great along with the music, plot, humor, and style. This dark comedy is a fun film that will be loved by those who have a sense of humor that accepts everything. Have an open mind and enjoy.

So travel with this family down to your local movie store and get it today!

'Dreamgirls' is about a group of female African Americans looking for fame in the early 60's. As they get higher and higher in the charts, problems brake out. Friends break up, relationships die, and dreams will break, but in the end their dreams will come back to greet them with pure talent and joy.

'Dreamgirls', might just be the best film of 2006. The acting was terrific from everyone, and especially from Jennifer Hudson who was tremendous with that booming voice of hers.

Tipped with an Oscar and multiple golden globes, how can this fail? See this wonderful film today and let their dreams complete yours.

'RENT' follows the lives of friends in the 80's dealing with aids, love, and eviction. The story is based on Jonathan Larson's TONY AWARD Winning show (1996), 'RENT'. The characters are all different and lovable. The songs are catchy and great. The film is just amazing.

'RENT' has great performances with actors with voices and acting skill. The film even has a couple of the original play cast members. They really show their talent that should help them later on in Hollywood. Good-Luck to them.

Purchase 'RENT' today to fall in love with the songs and characters of this 80's set rock musical! Today for you. Tomorrow for me.

What a let down this movie was. I was expecting a terrific 40's style drama focused on a mysterious case. Boy was I wrong. It was not about the case to much but focused on this annoying cop/boxer and his relations.

The acting was good because of the good actors in it but the plot was just dumb. Like mentioned before, I was disappointed. It had a lot of pointless sex in it and a random lesbian plot hole in it. That didn't ruin the film but I'm sorry for saying adding a hot little lesbo twist in a crappy movie won't change the films actual rating.

You should not waste your time on this crapfest.

'Turistas' was a fun horror flick with a 'Hostel' like plot. The characters were pretty likable along with the film itself. It had some good gory scenes which included a disturbing open surgery scene.

I am really confused about why people hated this film so much. When I saw this with a friend, we were both expecting a stupid b flick with cheesy acting. We were both surprised at the end, it didn't entirely suck! It had an OK script, OK actors, cool scenes, a fun plot, and gruesome gore. I admit, it wasn't a masterpiece but it was not horrible! I have seen much, much, much worse!

Something that does tick me off about this films bad ratings is that the Brazilians are rating it bad because they think this film will lower their tourist numbers. They are wrong, people still go to the beach(Jaws) and still go to European countries(Hostel). Its just a horror flick.

So you should go see this if you like fun B horror flicks.

This film was terrific! Very good! The acting by everyone, especially by Hilary Swank, was great. If you are in the mood for an inspirational film than you should go see this film. It puts you in a really good mood and makes you feel great! 'Freedom Writers' was filled with drama, humor, and more. It was a really nice film and a must see. 'Freedom Writers', has something for everybody. It is a film that people will love no matter what and who they are. A++++++ **** Go see this great film! It will literally set you in a good mood. P.S. It will probably make you cry so bring that special tissue box used for whatever your tears need!

Joanna Mills, (Gellar), is an ambitious sales woman looking for work to hide away her pain and remorse. Joanna is scarred from a "freak" accident that occurred when she was 11. Now she has changed, and maybe for the worse. She is haunted by memories she cannot recall including, paintings, photos, people, and places. Soon after she discovers that she is the next target for a cold blooded murderer. Now Joanna must find a way to get away from the killers evil grip and save her life, and maybe someone else's inside of hers.

Sarah Michelle Gellar gives out one of her best performances ever. She is a real showing star in this film. It will definitely increase her star power and show others her power of acting.

The film offers a couple different genres as well. Its a mystery/thriller at first, then to a classic "running from the killer" horror, and to a supernatural romance. 'The Return' is definitely a film to be seen. Not to be forgotten, but to be returned.
