Break Point
(2023)

Solid start
I thoroughly enjoyed this first season and I really hope the second is as good if not better. Break point is a solid start to introducing tennis players and the game of tennis. Their motivations, their mental and physiological struggles, the pressure. If you played tennis you will understand how the mental pressures effect you in this game. Break Point really shines in the study of the mental pressures of tennis. The cinematography is fantastic, followed by stunning footage of locations and tennis arenas around the globe, The sounds and music pull you in, making you feel immersed in the world these tennis players are in. I need to mention the sounds, wow, it really brings the excitement. Slow motion shots, with some background music, give me more. If this show maintains what it's currently doing and adds a little more about the technical side of tennis, this would be close to a 10 out of 10 for me. Solid start, hopefully they don't drop the ball. ;)

Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend
(2022)

Legendary story turned to disappointment.
Frank Grillo is the highlight of this movie, can't fault him, great job with what he had to work with.

How do directors manage to make fast cars look like they are going slow. The race scenes between the Ferrari and Lamborghini are by far the worst filmed race scene I have seen. Who choreographed and directed that scene? Really? That's what you came up with? It's trash.

If your not a car enthusiast or don't care about Lamborghini this movie will bore you to death. I stayed with it because of my passion for Lamborghini and Ferrari, and the legendary story of how Lamborghini began.

It has its moments, good moments, but the badly written and horridly directed moments outweigh the good ones.

Quantum Leap
(2022)

Quantum Leap can make the leap
I will start by saying, this is improving with each episode and has potential.

Our main character Dr Ben Song played by Raymond Lee is a breath of fresh air, and Addison played by Caitlin Bassett is promising. Both are great on screen.

Remember this, they are NOT Sam and Al. It's hard to not compare, but this is a continuation 30 years later.

However, they do mention Sam and Al in this and it's great nostalgia. And to be clear, the show needs that nostalgia. So give us more.

This new quantum leap has potential to explore so much more. The science behind it all, the people involved in the present time working as a team to help Ben and uncover the secrets. I loved the original, but the original was always missing something. Hopefully they can now include what was missing with some good directing and writing, less filler episodes, and in my personal opinion, the sci-fi in the new quantum leap is very welcoming.

The mystery of why Ben has leaped is an intriguing twist. Scenes going from past to present is very enjoyable and adds further mystery and more story to explore. Something the original lacked was episode continuation, and this new quantum leap does that. So far I'm happy with the writing, the story and the mystery with all the twists. I want to know how and why, especially after episode 3..

Hope it makes the leap and gets some traction.

Into the Badlands
(2015)

We need more seasons. Fantastic show
This show needs to continue. I love this show. Sunny's (Sunzo) character needs to be explored more. What amazing writing. The fight scenes are beautifully choreographed, can't get enough, they are incredible. The story is gripping. Some how it reminded me of monkey magic but with a much darker tone. Please continue this show. It's only been shown on Foxtel here in Australia and that is ridiculous. It should be on more streaming services.. into the badlands deserves more.

Titans: Nightwing
(2019)
Episode 13, Season 2

Who wrote the script for this episode??
Ok so who ever wrote the script and screen play has no idea. The way wonder girl dies was so horribly written. Gets electrocuted and dies?? Are you serious? Do you not realise her powers come from Themyscira and the powers of Zeus, you know, god of thunder. Lightning, electricity. Who was this writer, really. Do your research next time.

Could have made it so much more dramatic if the writers had some brains. E.g. she was fighting superboy and he is not him self, he is under control, superboy has wondergirl in a head lock just like in man of steel, snaps her neck, she dies, then he comes to and realises what he has done. Boom, ultimate dramatic ending. Or maybe don't kill her off at all. It's not hard.

Titans: Conner
(2019)
Episode 6, Season 2

Best episode of season 2
-May contain spoilers-

Very well written, but it did feel a little compressed. I wish there was more time spent exploring Conner and Eve on the run. The origin and back ground to superboy was great, well covered for one episode. How he came to be had a darkness about it relating back to Lex. Was well done. I really liked this episode. And Krypto, very cool.

Red Dead Redemption II
(2018)

Hands down one of the best games ever made
This game continues to impress me. The game play and the story is captivating, the graphics are stunning and very impressive for such a big open world game. I would have given this game a 10 out of 10, but because of my own opinion not being a fan of the old west and cowboy type of themes, it takes a lot of interest away from me personally. I'd prefer modern or futuristic. But, the game is that good, it's captivating and a lot of fun to play. Good work Rockstar, and thank you for your efforts in developing this game.

Man of Steel
(2013)

The greatest superhero story of all time
Man of steel is a masterpiece. From the cinematography and effects it is by far one of the most impressive superhero movies I have seen, and finally a serious movie of the greatest superhero, Superman.

What I love most about man of steel is how serious the tone is. It's a story of a man raised in a different culture, his struggles trying to fit in, to be one of them and to finally recognise who he really is. In my opinion, it's a beautiful story. With some fast paced action that needs to be seen, some scenes I wasn't able completely take in from the first watch. Man of steel definitely needs more than just one viewing. I highly recommend owning it on blue ray.
