I love being behind and in front of the camera, and watching movies.
A good movie can give us a way to experience things that we can’t otherwise experience, it can bring us back to memories that we’d forgotten, or it can motivate us to do things we haven’t yet done.
A bad movie wastes everyone’s time in life.

If I rate a film a 5 or higher, it means it was worth watching, for me. A 4 is an average, Hollywood produced film, based on the films that I have watched, not a general average of all Hollywood films produced, which would yield a lower rating.

  • Of of the best games of all time, easily

Oh jeez. Minimum character issues with this "company" again in the modern age, so I gotta pad a lot of fluff stuff. I'll maxipad it at the end.

The puzzle dynamics in Braid are insanely awesome. Totally unique and the storyline is enigmatic. Do not read what the game is about. The gameplay shines for itself if you like 2D puzzlers. The puzzles are very well paced, but some will stretch your mind if you want to beat the game. You don't have to beat every puzzle to win the game, but you will want to.

Anyway, it's now pad time. Full on classic game. Mario made it possible and great ideas make it great.

  • Underwhelming Hollywood Porn

I heard it got a nomination or something, so I started watching it. It looked bad from the beginning but there was good nudity, so I figured I'd hang around to see if there was more.

A little more nudity, and some silly comedy which seemed to last forever, then it ended with some silly drama.

The female lead has an ugly face but her body is not bad at all.

I think this might have won some Oscars, which makes sense. It's a pretty bad film and that is revered in Hollywood nowadays.

All in all it was kind of funny, with some drama, and a normal amount of nudity for a story about a stripper/prostitute.

Unless you are doing a case study of the nutcases in Hollywood or just really like super soft-core pretending to be an actual movie, I would skip it.

  • Only good if you are a production guru

Really boring, terrible plot. The whole gimmick of the movie is the contiguous, individual episodes, shot without cuts. Each episode is one shot. This is the most entertaining thing about it. They struggle a bit with the drone transitions, but you wouldn't notice if the story was any good.

If you are a regular moviegoer, don't bother. If you love seeing production results and reverse engineering it, it's pretty fun. Of course you can cheat and get all the answers by looking up how they did everything.

Camera work is phenomenal, and the acting is quite good.

Sometimes I think that modern film work is just about sadism from the production team and the Director, to the crew, talent, and the audience.

That's my takeaway from this series.
