Atlas
(2024)

Well. In my opinion I Freaking love it
I thought this movie was heartfelt and amazing. So many people criticize how the movie doesn't make sense or how Lopez was a bad actor. Well guess what, that's all opinion at the end of the day. I personally thought Lopez was a decent here. She gave a great performance showing her outlook of a person who's had a traumatic past. The AI robots induced some hateful behavior putting you at the edge of your seat feeling a sense of hope for the main character to make it. AI smith was a believable character reminding me of prior works of Eve from Walle and Bumble Bee from Transformers. I drew loads of comparisons from Transformers to this movie and that made it that much more witty and exhilarating. Movies shouldn't always draw from facts, and this movie draws from a wonderful bubble of fiction that blends real well. I loved it!

Dead Boy Detectives
(2024)

Weird in freaking good way!
This show was such a surprise, even as i have been waiting for it since the pilot episode, that was such an amazing experience, the characters are so rich, the story is worked in a way that works for episodic and serialized storytelling, same as with the original show, Sandman. The cinematography, production, acting is stellar.

The individual arcs are honestly pretty well done, i don't feel like i didn't understand who each of the four protagonist were, and even secundary and guest were pretty well developed.

If you cared for Lockwood and Co, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Supernatural, this is for you.

Baby Reindeer
(2024)

Incredible new hidden gem
I wasn't intending on watching the whole series in one day but MY GOODNESS this is a piece of art and what blew my mind most is the actor and creator played himself which led to the emotion in this series being SO real and raw. Honestly one of the best series I've watched in such a long time. Some deeply disturbing and shocking scenes & emotional scenes (which we blubbered to) mixed with comedy, it's GENIUS from beginning to end, really a work of art. Just... mind blowingly ... WOW! Loved it! Dark, intense, taut story... Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning A++ this is definitely a must watch tv show.

Gisaengsu: Deo geurei
(2024)

Amazing adaptation
Best horror show I've ever seen. I'm so glad this was in good hands. It's truly inspired. I see it as the perfect mix of what makes the original anime amazing, as well as a fresh perspective on the story. OG fans will honestly love this. I'm sure of it, being one myself. I'm hard to please with live-action remakes so imagine my surprise , This is how a live-action adaptation of an anime/manga should be done. Instead of retelling the same story, "Parasyte the Grey" expand on the worldbuilding of the original source material. This show is a wild ride from start to finish, and fans of the original material will be delight when they see the ending scene of this show. WATCH THIS, STAT!

Ripley
(2024)

Incredible new show , super underrated
Everything about the show was perfect. Amazing cinematography, editing, music etc. Andrew Scott is also perfect in his role. This is for audiences who are intelligent and cultured. It's not going to please the average idiot American. It's not Kung Fu Panda. It's a work of art. Totally enthralling. The scenery is amazing putting you in 1960's Italy. Great acting and an amazing story. Especially fun if you have ever been to Italy.

Andrew Scott's mesmerizing performance and Steve Zallian's incredible directing, brings us one of the most suspenseful and clever cat and mouse games of the decade!!!

3 Body Problem
(2024)

Yesss. Everything I hoped for and more!!
This show is great sci-fi, good pace, and they did a good job of summarizing the very detailed character-development in the first book. The Chinese adaptation was too long with over-dramatic characters for the global audience to connect with but this one is good and I'm already hopeful for the second season. The production is of high quality and it's a good team, the producers also have shown before that they are great at adapting great source materials and books (when they exist!). Unfortunately a lot of people are just hating this show because of being still mad at the producers or some people expected this to be super-faithful to the books (which would've resulted in 30 hours of boring TV for just the first book like the Tencent version)...

The Gentlemen
(2024)

Brilliant, unique Spin-off
This is a reminder that TV can just freaking fun and not take itself so seriously! The Gentlemen S1 stands out as a pinnacle of escapism, blending sharp wit, a plot full of intrigue, and a charismatic ensemble cast into a cinematic experience that captivates and entertains from start to finish. Guy Ritchie's unique storytelling style of- by fast-paced dialogue, complex characters, and stylish direction-creates a world that, while grounded in the grit and machinations of the criminal underworld, feels almost fantastical in its execution. Watch the full season as it sets up for what can be an even better second season.

Avatar: The Last Airbender
(2024)

A totally Masterpiece!
The bending was phenomenally done, all the elements in fact. For the choreo of the fight scenes i'd say it really holds up and they went all out for it. The cast did great, some were a stand out while some did their job (not as great but does not retract from the enjoyment of the show). In its core it stays true to the spirit of avatar, as a fan I didn't mind that it isnt 1:1 adaption, all i wanted was that the very core of this feels like avatar. And the team made it possible. I'm positive that atla fans will enjoy this, and as for casual fans, the bending itself is enough to keep you eyes glued from the start to end.

One Day
(2024)

Beautiful story!
I started and finished this the day it came out and loved every second of it! I had watched the movie in theatres when it first came out and have rewatched once or twice since then, and as much as I enjoyed it, it really doesn't hold a candle to the show. I feel like this story is better suited to television because of all the time jumps, we get a little more time with both of them to understand how they've gotten to the place that their at each year. Ambika Mod is a stand out, her Emma is much more fleshed out and the chemistry between her Leo Woodall (Dexter) is incredible. Beautiful story, beautifully told!

Griselda
(2024)

Incredible unpredictable acting !
Griselda is easily the best of Netflix's NARCOS series, and that's thanks to Vergara's performance and her clear focus on the feminine experience in this violent world that she brought as executive producer. Sofia Vergara is a versatile actress. She dynamically transforms from a loving mother to a beautiful woman manipulating men and then to an intimidating vehicle for violence. I mean she is an actress capable of shaking mountains with her voice and violence in a way I didn't know was possible before this limited series. My hope is that Griselda launches Vegara into a new stage of her career as the other Netflix series did for actors like Pedro Pascal.

Boy Swallows Universe
(2024)

Brilliant and funny, and deep
I could not stop watching this and spent my Sunday enthralled with the story line and actors. Unaware of what I had started, Gripping, emotional, hard to watch at times, but I couldn't stop watching. The actors are phenomenal, particularly the kid who plays Eli . I kept googling information about the book (never heard of it before) and everyone associated with the production. Seeing Bryan Brown and Simon Baker made my day. As an American who is obsessed with Australian TV/movies, this completely surpassed all expectations. You will not regret watching this through to the end .Easily one of the best TV shows I've watched in the past year.

The Brothers Sun
(2024)

Full Of Fun and Enjoyment
Wow what a great start from netflix in 2024 year. The Brothers Sun might be the best show of the year and the year just started, That's how FANTASTIC it is. This series was fun and had very enjoyable ride. It have great cast Michelle Yeoh and Justin Chien were a pleasure to watch on screen. The show had Incredible emotional, and it managed to compound drama with comedy. It was really well written and had a great action, and awesome fight choreography, And the acting was phenomenal, And so bloody hilarious Can't Wait to see what they will do for a season 2.

Go watch it ,Totally Recommend to all.

Yu yu hakusho
(2023)

Absolutely amazing
First of all, a lot of people who give this less than 1 star need to understand the budget that goes into a series like this. Second, adapting anime into live action is weird. It doesn't translate well. The fact that technology has gotten good enough to be able to do this is incredible. That being said, the series was decent.

For me Being new to Yu Yu Hakusho (i have not read the manga nor seen the anime) i have to see, this show was pretty great. The characters were so unique and lively, both protagonist and villians!!!! The fights scenes were freaking phenomenal and the overall atmosphere of the series was so fun and cozy. Seeing how much i love this live action, you're telling me there's a 112 anime episodes of THIS?!?!? Heck YESSS SIGN ME UP. This show was such a good time and i can't wait to see more (LETS HOPE FOR SEASON 2)

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off
(2023)

Wonderful
As a fan of Scott Pilgrim of the comics and the movie I expected a lot from this project, the animation is incredible, many complain that he is not faithful to the comics, Did they NOT get the title?... Scott Pilgrim TAKES OFF! We have Scott in the comic and Scott in the movie. This like the fans that want Luke Skywalker in every Star War?! . it doesn't matter it's totally innovative it's like an extra volume of the comics and I want to see more of it . This was so good. Let the other characters have some fun! Please make more!! The theme song ROCKS!!!,, I'm looking forward to a second season........

All the Light We Cannot See
(2023)

Peace Of Art !
I think I'm glad I did not read the book, because what I watched was nothing short of wonderful in every "facet". Mark Ruffalo and the sparsely seen Hugh Laurie were fantastic, but still a notch or two below the magnificent Aria Mia Loberti in her premier performance. And as a huge fan of the German series "Dark", I grinned wide when Louis Hoffman was on the screen. Great screenplay (IMO), photography, music...it is all very memorable. With just four episodes, I imagine I will eventually watch again.

Advice : even if the adaptation deferent than the book , watch it and enjoy , it was very enjoyable.

Pluto
(2023)

Masterpiece!
I just finished watching all 8 episodes, from episode 1 to 8, of the talked-about Netflix original anime "PLUTO". The last time I found a Netflix original anime this entertaining was with "Arcane". This embodies Japanese anime; its uniqueness lies in not settling for a simple good-versus-evil narrative, setting it apart from the formulaic plots of Disney anime. I'm confident that "PLUTO" will sweep the awards at the Annie Awards next year!

An absolute masterpiece of an anime. Maybe the best Anime of the year or beyond, If you lust for the spirit of well renowned animes of older times, as Pluto catches their flow and polishes it with a fresh look.

Bodies
(2023)

Mind Blowing show
Amazing detective mystery between 4 Detectives in 4 time periods for the first 5 episodes. If you do not binge or for those who do not pay attention to every detail I would say episode 6 is always great. I binged the series & really had my eyes glued to all clues, so I felt episode 6 was almost a rehash of what I already watched as it explains the entire mystery in a clear cut manner. The final 2 episodes do some rehashing of the first 5 episodes as well to explain what some attentive viewers already understand, however, the final 2 episodes also have plenty of new details & plot changes making a good ending.

The Fall of the House of Usher
(2023)

Amazing !
As usual from this director, this show is another sublime masterpiece... It's difficult for me, to describe how perfect it really was! The way the ambience is elaborated in enormous scenes along the way, the talent and dedication put in each and every character by the several actors, is truly outstanding! I could continue to elaborate on why this show was so incredible to me, but I'd rather just tell you, that this show is a must, in it's reflection side, and in the way that it will holistically, involve you! Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed!

Please go watch it all of you , recommend.

One Piece
(2023)

What a surprise!!
It was awesome and it did make me feel the emotions they were trying to portray. Overall it was great and it almost blew my socks off and the experience was very enjoyable. As an anime fan I do not know why they had to cut Hachi though. That is the only change I disagree with, even though I understand the CGI would have been rather difficult to nail. My favorite portrayal was Nami's, she was the one who was the most attached to the crew and made me believe they cared for each other the most. Maybe It's different than the original but sooo addictive and amazing I had a lot of fun watching this live adaptation ,I hope this gets a second season!

Sanyanggaedeul
(2023)

Wow!!
Netflix managed to assemble a wonderful cast and the drama was not left behind. Despite feeling like we needed more episodes, it was amazing from beginning to end! The friendship of the protagonists was a special touch, I loved it so much, the personality of one totally different from the other kk, was what won me over. I confess that I was surprised by some events, even though I was waiting for them, I was still full of emotions. The ending was excellent, happy for those who deserved happiness. I will definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the subject. (Anyone else noticed the cast rotation? It seemed that Netflix wanted to "give a scene" to everyone kk.

But that didn't interfere with the development of The story.

The Diplomat
(2023)

Such an amazing !
Wow...each episode flew by! We wanted to watch this over the course of the weekend, but once we started, we hunkered down and watched the entire thing. We really enjoyed the pace, banter (it's funnier than you would expect), tension and intrigue. There are some gaps in character development, but that's easily overlooked.

The last episode made this absolutely worth watching. The last 10 mins was probably the best collection of scenes I've seen in years.(Great cliffhanger...) I hope it's renewed and we don't have to wait too long for find out what happens!!

Binge-worthy / very recommended to who love's political drama.

Beef
(2023)

Peace of art !
It's definitely one of the best 2023 shows.

In the midst of some of the most crazy and chaotic television i've ever seen, i love how tender and honest this scene between danny and paul is. Probably my favorite acting moment from yeun in the show thus far, give him all the awards .

And also I don't know how there's so much people giving it one star , are you watching the same thing I watching or what? This is Netflix's 'Best' original show of the last 5 years.

Great acting, great music , great and original story , no propaganda , fast paced , not boring , it's have everything, funny entertainment.

The Night Agent
(2023)

Why all that bad reviews?!
I was intrigued by the trailer. It did not disappoint!

This is a really well written, directed, and acted TV show. A good one on the back of "The Recruit" from Netflix.

This is much more grounded and realistic with your usual stuff, but that is what makes it a good political Espionage thriller!

Reacher The Terminal List Jack Ryarn Alex Rider Slow Horses The Recruit Fauda Gangs of London ... and now The Night Agent, I'd say this is a good time to be a fan of the genre.

So Why bad reviews? It didn't seem low quality or budget. I really hope there will be a second season

PS - I've only mentioned TV shows of the genre that are still running and not cancelled/ ended.

The Recruit
(2022)

Funny , very enjoyable !
Anyone slating this doesn't get the way that modern TV has to be made to then be able to "order" more seasons.... So stop mianing about the cliff hanger and enjoy the show for what it is!!

The show is clever where it needs to be, easy to watch and hold your attention, throwing in action and a little comedy to keep it fun.

Is is shakepere, no, of course not, and those expecting this to be a high class "serious" spy thriller are a little deluded.

Is this good? YES Does it do what it says on the tin, is it enjoyable, and should there be more than 1 season? YES

Definitely Very recommended

10/10.

Wednesday
(2022)

What a pleasant surprise!
As a huge fan of not only the Addams Family, but Tim Burton as well, this show exceeded my expectations! I binge watched the entire season in one evening & couldn't stop watching! I honestly feel like those who complained about it being "too far from the original Addams family" missed the entire point of it being a coming of age/teenage PROGRESSION. It's not a remake, it's not even a sequel to the old movies, it is its own entity & shows the maturity of Wednesday and her coming in to her own. Also, those complaining about the casting, especially with Gomez, obviously aren't familiar with the original comics the show was based on to begin with: the casting was actually pretty spot on, with its own original flair added. Tim Burton has always been imaginative, creative and a visionary and "Wednesday" is no exception. Fingers crossed for a second season.
