Paranormal State
(2007)

They aren't there to gather evidence...
If you have read a lot of bad reviews on it, you might notice that most of those reviews have to do with the lack of evidence shown on TV. I think that this show compared to other ghost shows, i.e. Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, is a nice fresh look on paranormal investigations. Instead of just going in to gather evidence and prove whether or not a location is haunted or if the clients are fakes, they go in to help a client. They try to relieve pain and suffering, offer counseling, and try to find a way out for clients and their 'friends.' So if you want to watch a ghost program that aims to show the viewer evidence, watch Ghost Hunters, or if you want to watch a show that involves a client feeling relieved about a horrifying haunting, Paranormal State is for you. And being a fan of all three mainstream ghost programs, Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, and Paranormal State, each has its own atmosphere. Most Haunted is more of an experience show, having a large group of investigators to go in and show you a 'haunted location' and show you what they found. Ghost Hunters is an analytical program, trying to base whether a location is haunted based on video, audio, and personal evidence. Paranormal State, as I stated earlier is a program going in to help a family needing help in experiencing a haunting. I hope you enjoyed this comment and maybe noticed the same differences I noticed. Happy Ghostshow hunting!

Sharpshooter
(2007)

It's like Shooter, but...
I got an idea for a movie, like Shooter, but... instead of Marky Mark we get an older dude that doesn't do many movies anymore, and instead of him being the target of the FBI, we make him the target of the CIA. What do you think?

That's what I thought the whole time while watching this movie. Not much action unless you count the first two minutes and the last action sequence. Late night SpikeTV movie for a reason. Production was good, Filmography wasn't great by any means, and the action wasn't spectacular. The actors didn't seem into this movie at all. I am happy that I only saw it once and don't see it in my program guide now.

The Condemned
(2007)

Pseudo-public Broadcast Survival of the Fittest. (PpBSF)
Not being that big of a fan of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) I thought this movie was extremely good. While holding true to some movie clichés, the fact of the movie was that violence sells, but you get what you have coming for you: you want violence, you get violence. The people talking about gore in this movie, need to see 300 or Dawn of the Dead (remake). Those are gory. This doesn't show anyone being raped, being burned*, having their throats slit, or shot in the face*. This movie had me on the edge of my seats most of the time, and wanting to see more the whole time. Steve Austin at his on-screen best in this movie. Great cinematography. I enjoyed it. Go see it, whether you liked it or not, it'll be worth it.
