  • Everyone who worked on Arcane you're spoiling me. The action sequences are mind-bogglingly amazing in Arcane. Everything else from the story, characters, pacing is all very well thought out.

The script and characters are amazing as they have been in every episode up until this point. The inevitable reunion with vi and jinx was very well built up and perfectly executed. There are no conveniences or plot holes, the characters act how you would expect them to act considering what we know about them and the pay off was excellent. That's all you can really ask.

With 2/3 arcs done and both arcs being amazing, this show has the potential to go down as the best game adaptation ever made (and I've never even played league of legends)

Another excellent episode! The animation remains excellent, the characters act comprehensibly, the dialogue is intelligently written, the story complex and interesting. I can't find anything to fault here.

It's a shame that many mediocre to disastrous productions generate more attention. Arcane is on a completely different level than most TV-Series, especially compared to animated TV-Series like most Animes.

Perhaps too many people in the western world still have childish reservations about animated productions. Otherwise I can't explain why this series is not perceived even more successful than it already is.

I will continue to urge everyone to give this series a chance. I expect everyone reading this review to do the same!

There is nothing to see here! Just watch the show. You can tell just how much work was put into this and how riot went all out to give us this masterpiece.
  • I think that's about it, there's nothing more to say, i'm speechless. It's simply perfect on every aspect there is so far, hopefully it keeps it the same way in the third and final act next week.

Another great episode! Vi getting to see Jinx for the first time since they were young gave me goosebumps. Excited to see where the Hextech storyline goes when it inevitably falls into the wrong hands. Think I slightly preferred ACT ONE overall as it is was more emotionally hard hitting but this middle act is nonetheless still thrilling, with great action, amazing dialogue, stunning cinematography and characters that are fully realised. Keep it up Arcane!
  • Im not a fan of animated stuff like anime etc. But i gave it a chance because i played LoL a while back.

And holy moly is this series good.. Storyline 10/10 Characters 10/10 Dialogue 10/10 Emotions 11/10

Now in my TOP 3 List of my favorite TV series.

Riot just can't go wrong with the phasing of the plot development. The previous episodes, just like in Act I,paving the road beautifully to this episode's klimax. We got such an epic montage with a beautiful soundtrack.

The sounds, the music, the cinematography, the lighting, the character arcs, everything is so well crafted, sometimes I even forget, that this is an animation, it feels so real.

Amazing middle part of the story. Hands down.
  • Nothing more to say about it, i'm speechless. It's perfect in every aspect there is. Hopefully it will stay consistent in Act 3, and sadly only 3 episodes left of this greatness. All good things must come to an end.

Riot really did this one well. They play on our knowledge on how the characters end up (in the game League of Legends), so we expect certain things, on how the characters end up, then lead us down an alternate path that's just as unique as our conceptions of what the characters end up as. Take Jayce as an example, our conceptions of him is someone that's charismatic, in the spotlight, doing good for Piltover. Does this mean he does what's wise, or does this mean he solves the immediate problems in the world? Riot plays on our conceptions of the characters while simultaneously providing am unique art style.

Really good Riot. In my opinion, you've secured your place for future lore series for League of Legends, hopefully also a potential MMO.

This is the first time I'm reviewing a single episode of a series. Incredible writing and animation. Easily one of the best episode of any series ever. Can't even blink for the last 10 minutes.

Those emotions, those expressions, like the characters are played by real persons. Even they are definitely better than most of the actors and actresses. Only because of this Arcane has to be called as masterpiece. And of course plot, character developments, animations and even action scenes are incredible themselves. I've watched 3 times only this episode and cried during all of them)
  • That must have been the call of the sweaty, beady eyed director...

Because this show's characters are laser focused! Every single character is a masterpiece, a microcosm with their own agendas, their own wonts and their own ultimate motivations... be they frontline characters like Vi and Powder, or be they secondary like Viktor and Mel, they are all fleshed out and rounded with their own personalities.

If ever future aficionados of TV roll by, then they can watch this as evidence that fully rounded, concepted and inclusive TV actually existed in the early 21st century.

This show is superb and this episode is intense as heck!! All the plot threads are amazing. Amazing writing, music, characters, art style, action, pacing, all of it!!
  • Act 2 for me started off a bit weaker maybe due to high expectations but by the end I was completely sold with this episode in particular.

While Episode 3 had a very strong conclusion this episode from start to finish was filled with very impactful and interesting scenes, so many things happened all leading up to the brilliant montage before a solid final scene.

I would be quite amazed if an episode can top this one in the final 3.

Man, arcane is on fire, that way of leaving us intrigued with that ending is incredible, beautiful reunion of sisters, but a little sad with things to resolve. Arcane is so well created, I mean, emotions, the story, it makes you love the characters, it's so well produced that in certain moments I forget it's an animated series, brutal, a big applause for all the people behind this.

What a fight scene at the end of the episode. I just enjoyed watching jinx fight she turned into such a badass. Also did anyone else get joker vibes from her? What a crazy character !

If Act 3 can hold up to the superb first 6 episodes, Season 1 of Arcane really might become a masterclass of its own. This show is pure art with compelling characters, rich world buildung and a decent enough story to get you hooked for more.
  • Like the previous parts of the dialogues, it worked well. The sound and music are also great. We see more emotions than the previous two episodes. Saliva sweat and raindrops are more pronounced in this part.

And most importantly, it does not force the viewer to watch later episodes out of curiosity about the rest of the story. Rather, because of the great quality, the viewer waits for the next episodes.

    Greetings from Lithuania.

"When These Walls Come Tumbling Down", a sixth episode of "Arcane" was another proof that all series are consistent in its quality. Animation itself is amazing. Writing, directing and editing are all top notch. Story is very engaging and interesting. And all characters are very well fleshed out.

    Great series.

  • Warning: Spoilers
Sadly act 2 of arcane wasn't able to follow the great beginning of the show. Episode 1-3 really blowed me away and after hearing that the series is going to get even better afterwards I was really hyped for what RIOT will show us next. First of all I have to say that the animation ist still superb and I (as a huge fan of the game) was very entertained by those 3 episodes.

However judging it from a mor objective point of view there are a lot of problems.

    1. The Pacing is awful. In the course of a few scenes characters are changing their whole personality just to progress the story. There are also really weird cuts between scenes.

    2. I don't like what they did to Silko. For me he was (and maybe still is) the most interesting character in this series. I like how they introduced a Villain, that has his weaknesses and a clear vision. Yeah he pretty much did a 180 after the time skip and now strives to be a father and selling drugs in order to bribe the enforcers. He pretty much does the same thing Vander did. He only gets interested in fighting the topsiders after Jinx goes on her solo mission and steals the arcane orb. Very disappointing.

    3. Character Development. The only character they really fleshed out was Jinx, which they did well, but I feel like I now nothing about Vi, Caitlyn, etc.

Characters also just act out of character the whole time. I feel like Jayce switched his whole personality 4 times within 2 scenes.

I really hope that act 3 will show the same greatness as act 1.

Powder/Jinx got too overpowered. They should have worked on a better believability - it seems that nothing affects her. Vi suffers from the same issue but Jinx is taking it on another level - it makes it look like everybody else are incompetent and ruins the suspense for me.
  • Warning: Spoilers
"There was never an idea of good or bad in this world, only the facts of the capable and the desperate." The fact that Jinx has to ask "are you real?" it's so heartbreaking in a way, because how many times she might've imagined that kind of scenario, and also with so many images her mind creates... Jinx's sense of reality is so muddled. And you wanna know what makes the episode's ending even more painful. To Jinx, Vi could have simply been another figment of her imagination. She was there for one second and gone the next. I think that shimmer comes from the flowers Singed used to feed Rio. My understanding was that he wanted to keep her alive at any cost because it was a mutation, something unique, and as Rio still decay, he injected her with shimmer to keep it going. During the scene where they brought Vander to silco's hide out its shown that they where extracting shimmer from a purple insect like creature. Not wanting to give any spoilers but yeah Shimmer it's very bad news.
