The first season started off fairly slow before getting awesome. This season instead starts off great and, hopefully, will continue to be even greater.

The episode explains how the results of the "earthquake" and Tommy's death have on Oliver's esteem in becoming 'The Hood' again.

The laughs are still there but it seems that the show itself is going to be more darker. Oliver doesn't want to be a vigilante and the season is particularly going to focus on Oliver becoming a 'Hero' rather then being known as a murderer.

Perfect start to the season and it feels like a completely different show (which is a good thing). I love Arrow and hopefully it continues to amaze me each week

What a great start to the new season of arrow. with oliver running away from his normal life and back to the island. He is not quite the same again after the death of tommy and thinks every man he now kills dishonours tommy.

Roy is trying to do what "the hood" did in his absence and Thea hates this.

With the queen company in trouble an unexpected turn from an old friend helps them out of trouble and keeps the company from crashing. While thugs want to take out all the queen family as they blame them for the fall of the glades.

The island is opening up some new thoughts on whats going to happen next, now that ships are on the shores.

what next? I cant wait to find out. what are great start to the second season!

    Warning: Spoilers
This episode focuses mainly on Oliver processing how Tommy's view was about him before he died. One would never have imagined Summer Glau in a negative part and she nailed it pretty good . The good part was The vigilante getting new upgrades with slinging ropes was pretty good.

There were some very slow scenes with whatever Thea was involved with her dilemma about accepting her mother's mistake . Officer lance being demoted , was looking bad in uniform, with us getting used to seeing him as detective ,same is the case with Moira Queen. The climax like every Arrow episode was pushing us to the edge ..we got to wait for the next episode to find out who the female vigilante is..

I was smiling almost the entire time I was watching it. The long wait is finally over. The plot of season two premiere is great, it's not overdone and yet it's full. It leaves questions on what would happen throughout the entire season, reason to make viewers more excited watching it. I'm a fan of Olicity (Oliver and Felicity), but I hope the writers would start the romance between Oliver and Laurel because viewers are so loving Felicity. I'm so much fond when Felicity says some stuff to Oliver about how she's attracted to him like when she said that she kept the salmon ladder because she loves watching him do that and felt awkward, the actor was pretty good. The scenes were still great, especially when Oliver jumps out of the window with Felicity.

This is a great episode which shows the transition of Oliver from The Hood to The Arrow.

After the events of last season, Oliver has retreated to Lian Yu, till Dig and Felicity track him down, not for need of the vigilante, but because Queen Consolidated is having a hostile takeover by Isabel Rochev. There have been quite a few changes in other characters lives also. Thea is running Verdant, with Roy Harper as her boyfriend who is also trying to clean up the streets and convince Thea to go see her mother. Laurel is working in the DA's office, with a motivation to take down the vigilante, Quentin is a beat cop due to his involvement with the vigilante.

Meanwhile, in the flashbacks Oliver and Shado have become romantically involved, and we get to see a more violent Oliver, closer to the present day version.

Overall, it is a fantastic episode with introduction of new characters like The Canary and Isabel Rochev, and Oliver progressing in his journey to become a hero.

Just wanted to first say how much the wait was worth it!!! Fantastic opener to what will undoubtedly be a deadly second season!!

One complaint... The fight between Roy and the Hoods at Verdant, clearly shows the stunt man of Colton Haynes at 25:46. Pretty minor, but looking at all the other amazing fight scenes throughout the entire first season, this one was pretty blatant of a mistake.

Can't wait to see Michael Jai White in the next episode!! I loved him in Blood & Bone.

Arrow is by far, my favourite show on TV.. I loved Smallville, because I'm a huge Superman fan, but this show adds so much darkness to the whole DC Superhero shows. It's so well done!!
