  • This movie was just god awful. The first two minutes in when I watched the movie, I was like 'God! I want to commit suicide.' Although I never read the Twilight series, and god forbid I NEVER WILL... I decided to watch the movie... I think brain cells nearly popped out of my head when I saw this.

First off, why in the name of god does everyone in this movie LOOK SO BLAND AND PALE!? Is it the camera, or did someone say 'Hey! You know what this movie needs? Pale and blandness! That's sure to make it better!' Pfft... right! Also, the movie seems so dark and depressing. I guess that's the theme of the series, since it's based around vampires... which is a stupid idea if you think about it, but it makes me so suicidal that I bring five packs of razorblades every time I see the stupid thing. Not to be harsh, but that's how I feel about it.

I will admit though, there are some nice camera shots and some nice music within the movie, but the movie is more of a depressing romantic story about two emos who like each other... yeah, way to go! And... sigh, there's another coming soon. God, kill us all!
  • I couldn't have anything to say about this movie... it's so brilliant. Not only is the movie so gory, it focusing on the writing and story, plus acting that makes a movie perfect. Though, many people will diss the movie because of it being so gory, they should see it anyways if they are tough enough for it. Hell, this movie made me addicted to movies with gore and major violence. The only thing that gets me sick is violence with skin. Ew! Anyways, off-topic here. So, the movie is awesome. If Peter Jackson should make a remake of this movie, I say DO IT! You know how awesome that would be? Everyone would see it since his work is appreciated more these days. I would love a remake of this, though CGI I think would be used more, since fake puppets and paper-made props are out these days. I think that sort of stuff should be used in it though, because it's more lifelike if you have a creature or something that's a puppet or whatever.

    Well, you get my point.
  • This movie... is a disgrace to the art of film making, and to film makers everywhere. Why... would you make, a film about some craptastic singer who cannot sing for the sake of his whole family from dying? Answer me! WHY!? This movie, I have nothing to say about it. It's the reason why there is war, why peace will never come, and why the world will end sooner or later... it's that bad my friends. IT'S THAT BAD!!! Why am I even talking!? I cannot save you now... you are already.. DEAD!

This movie, makes me want to stop watching and reviewing movies altogether, as it is the worst movie of all time. This movie, the director, and MOST IMPORTANTLY... the star of the movie, should lock themselves in a shaft, and shall never be seen again... EVER!!!!
  • Why such a generic title? Santa Claus??? So bland and unpredictable. Movies before that tried to cash in on the holiday spirit, most notably 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians', at least was entertaining to watch because of the campiness to it, and all the stock footage being used... for some reason, that seemed happy to me. But this movie just screws Christmas in the butt, and screws the joy of all the kids. Santa lives in space? His enemy is a devil named Pitch? Santa gets help from Merlin the Magician? How random is this!? Well, since it was made in Mexico then some of you might understand the way of how the film was made. I had to admit some of the effects were just wacky for the time. It was a all-out cluster of madness! Though, despite all the troubles with the movie, it still feels like a Christmas movie. Good conquers evil, and Christmas still plays a part of our hearts of every good girl or boy in the world, or possibly universe, thanks to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.. apparently. So, I think you should give it a try, even if it is one of the worst holiday movies of all time... though it should put a smile on your face any day.
  • This movie was made around the time that Lucio Fulci was starting to lose his touch. Before, his movies were not only gore-filled, but they had a story, great writing, and great camera shots that were very beautiful for something any other Italian director (besides Dario Argento) could not produce. Near his death, his movies seems very poor, and somewhat distasteful. The only two movies I could watch of his were Aenigma (1987), and The House of Clocks (1989). Though, Un gatto nel cervello (The Cat in The Brain) is a very entertaining movie that Fulci produced near his death. One of the main reasons, is that Fulci actually stars in it... AS HIMSELF! The plot line is basically Fulci has been driven insane by his movies or whatever, and he starts imagining scenes from his movies being played out in real life. What this means, is that there is a lot of stock footage with in the movie, mainly from Touch of Death and Sodama's Ghost, two recent movies Fulci had produced before. I liked how the scenes were integrated into the movie, though you could tell that the footage was stock somewhat if you've actually seen the movies. Anyway's the movie is entertaining, though the gore kind of does lose the touch of any other Fulci gore epic before. Though the thing that surprises me, is that Fabio Frizzi (composer of some Fulci films such as Zombie, The Gates of Hell, and The Beyond) is actually the composer of this movie's music. You can actually tell by the bass line, sort of. I wish I could find a soundtrack for this movie, if there is one.
  • Demonia seems to be a movie by Lucio Fulci that I don't know about... the death scenes in this movie are corny and are not the same to other death scenes in Fulci's earlier films, mainly the ones from the late 70's to middle 80's. I think it was because of the special effects director was changed or something, I'm not sure. But the one I remember was the one scene where the guy is caught upon a trap while trying to get his son from one of the nuns or whatever, and the guy is split apart from his son tripping upon a rope or something. The effects looked terrible, I'm sorry.

Otherwise, the movie was weird to me. Not saying that the movie is a piece of crap, though it could be better. The music was... well, I think it could be better. I liked the intro music, plus the music following the intro scene.

So, final verdict? Well, Demonia is a mixed bag of good and bad. If you're a true Fulci fan (like me), then this is your movie. If not, then... I guess you should give it a try. Demonia, the 'What the Babuguganosh!?' moment of Fulci's career.

Also, Al Cliver (Zombi 2) actually is in this movie, though he is credited as Al Clever... clever, I must say, eh? Ha ha ha... ha???
