Linsey Godfrey only started appearing as Sarah Horton on “Days of Our Lives” last fall, but the actress has already earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress. This is Godfrey’s third nomination in this category and fourth nomination overall. She contended for this award in 2015 and 2016 for playing Caroline Spencer on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and in 2014 she was up for Best Younger Actress for that role.
The nominations and winners for these awards were decided in a single round of blue ribbon judging when panels viewed sample performance reels from each actor. Those reels weren’t made available to the public this year, but they were available to the press. Here’s what you need to know about the scenes Godfrey submitted.

Days of our Lives fans don’t have long to wait to see sensational Farah Fath back in action as Mimi Lockhart, a role she originated in 1999 at the tender age of 15. In the coming days, the talented actress will return to Salem as a part of the current “Baby Bonnie” storyline. Last week Soap Opera Digest reported exclusively that actress Farah Fath is on her way back to “Days of Our Lives” to reprise her role as Mimi Lockhart, whom she previously played for eight years from 1999 to 2007. But not only will she be reuniting with the other citizens of Salem, she’ll also be working again with head writer Ron Carlivati, who wrote for her on “One Life to Live” from 2007 to 2012. But how long will Fath be back? On Twitter she explained, “We’re calling it a ‘handful of episodes.'”
Fath joined the cast of “Days” in 1999 when she was just 15-years-old. Her character Mimi was best friends with Belle Black (currently played by Martha Madison) and at one point was married to Shawn Douglas Brady (currently played by Brandon Beemer). She left town after discovering that she had killed her abusive father but had suppressed the memory.

Many cast members on E!'s "Dirty Soap" are in serious relationships, but that doesn't stop the soap opera stars from having very active imaginations.
With whom would the actors -- who are allowing reality TV cameras into their lives -- hop into bed if they could choose any celebrity to get dirty with? Some of their answers are positively scandalous.
"Days of Our Lives" actress Nadia Bjorlin's first celebrity crush was Brad Pitt, but she has since been inspired to switch teams.
"Now I prefer his other half, Angelina ... though I wouldn't kick either out of bed," Bjorlin told The Huffington Post.
Bjorlin's "Days" co-star Galen Gering and his wife, Jenna, both happen to be crushing on women, too.
"I have made out with a lot of women in daytime television -- but after meeting her, my No. 1 new crush is, hands down, Ellen DeGeneres," Galen said.

General Hospital’s Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) may have already said their vows on Thursday’s show, making it official at a Chinese food restaurant instead of at the big church wedding everyone else was planning to attend, but today is the day things really go down. “They wind up going back to the church where everyone is waiting, pissed off and angry. All That Matters
Florian got some bad news about Roman..
As I said last week, I can’t bring the clips of this storyline to you, but I did want to discuss it as it's an important arc for one of the most beloved TV gay couples. To begin, to my surprise, I’m really enjoying this storyline. Last week’s episodes detailing Roman's impending doom were terrific. The writing for this story has been unusually strong for this generally fluffy soap, and the acting is outstanding, especially by Igor Dolsgatschew, who plays Deniz.
The scene where Deniz begged Roman to tell Florian about his illness and then talked about his own feelings about losing the man he loves had me misting up as much as the actor. Dennis Grabosch as Roman was good, but I was really taken by his co-star's work. Dolsgatschew has...
