“It’s a piece to protect your peace,” explains actress Abigail Spencer (Suits, Grey’s Anatomy, Mad Men), who collaborated with close friend and L.A. jewelry designer Maya Brenner on the Retreat necklace collection, which retails on mayabrenner.com for $495. “It’s not just a piece of jewelry,” Spencer says. “It’s a way of life.”

How do you evolve and bring back an event that more than a few critics had said might be past its prime? Leaning in hard on what originally made it great is a good start, especially when it’s topped with elements that feel decidedly right now. It also helps if the resulting combination feels simply joyful.

The Victoria’s Secret team, which last presented its signature fashion show in 2019, took its time to reconfigure the event in the face of plunging TV ratings and the impact of the #MeToo movement. But what was presented Tuesday night at Duggal Greenhouse at New York’s Brooklyn Navy Yard indeed felt celebratory, current and fully women-centric — not only on the runway and backstage, but also the front row, a guest list that included Cardi B, Jodie Turner-Smith and Queen Latifah.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned after a hiatus for more than 5 years, with their former mainstays like Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel walking the runway. Joining the alums were the next-generation icons like Taylor Hill and Barbara Palvin. Hadid sported a bubblegum pink playsuit, accompanied by a gorgeous pair of feathered wings.

While her walk on the runway was nothing short of epic, there was another model who stunned the audience with her Vs debut at 50. Kate Moss’s walk on the runway can be described as perhaps the most memorable moment of the evening. Moss’s daughter Lila Moss also appeared at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

The MTV Video Music Awards celebrated their 40th birthday — and for once, MTV aimed to do right by the legacy. This year’s show was full of clips of classic VMAs moments. One of the year’s biggest nights in music has arrived once again: the 2024 Video Music Awards.

But first, we’ve got ourselves a red carpet to enjoy. MTV is kicking things off early at 6/5c with an official pre-show, featuring interviews with this year’s nominees, performers and presenters, as well as performances by K-pop girl group Le Sserafim. The two-hour live event will be hosted by Dometi Pongo, Kevan Kenney and Nessa.

The Kering Foundation brought out an A-List group of celebs for its third Caring for Women dinner during New York Fashion Week!

Kim Kardashian, Dakota Johnson, Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, and Orlando Bloom were among the dozens of stars at the event held at The Pool on Monday (September 9) in New York City.

Salma Hayek joined her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, who is the CEO of fashion brand Kering. The company owns such luxury brands as Gucci, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta.

“For women and children to be free to fulfill their potential unencumbered by the burdens of fear, threat and trauma, it is paramount that we address violence at its roots to change behavior and heal our collective culture,” Francois-Henri said in a statement announcing the dinner earlier this year.

Celebrities packed Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 2 for Off-White’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway presentation. Stars like Camila Cabello, Zayn Malik, Paris Jackson, Issa Rae, Flavor Flav, and Sunisa Lee sat front row to view the sportswear-inspired collection. Mary J. Mary J. Blige is a huge fan of Off-White and the late Virgil Abloh. Naturally, the rapper wore head-to-toe clothing from the luxury fashion house, now helmed by Ibrahim Kamara. The “Real Love” singer wore a leather bomber jacket-inspired Off-White mini dress with white sleeves and a drop waist. As onlookers noticed, the dress was actually a skort, with the shorts featuring a cargo pocket on the left thigh.

While Los Angeles suffers from a late summer heat wave, New York is also turning up the temperature thanks to the current star-packed parade happening at fashion shows across the city.

Eminem is set to open the 2024 MTV VMAs with the first TV show performance from his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady.

The rapper is nominated for eight VMAs this year, including video of the year, best hip-hop, song of the summer and VMAs’ most iconic performance for his 2000 medley of “Real Slim Shady” and “The Way I Am,” which included more than 100 look-alikes.

Currently tied with Peter Gabriel for the most VMA wins by a solo male artist in show history, Eminem could break that record with just one win this year. He also holds the record for most wins by a rap artist with 13 VMAs and is the second most nominated artist in VMAs history with 67 nods, trailing only Madonna with 71 nods.

The Fashion Trust U.S. is a “nonprofit initiative dedicated to discovering, funding, and nurturing young design talent with the aim of helping them build their label into a thriving global brand.”

The event this year was hosted by Zooey Deschanel.

On Saturday, the organization Baby2Baby hosted its 13th annual gala, in collaboration with co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, Paul Mitchell.

Held at the Pacific Design Center in Hollywood, the event was attended by a number of A-list celebrities who gathered to pay tribute to both the nonprofit organization and the esteemed honoree, Salma Hayek.

Baby2Baby, a non-profit that provides children in poverty across the country with diapers, clothing and other necessities, holds the gala as a platform to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their mission.

This year, Hayek was honored for her extensive efforts in supporting vulnerable children and families, as stated on the organization’s website. Hayek wore a sparkly emerald gown to the event, with matching diamond earrings and rings.

Past recipients of this award include notable figures such as Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Bryant, Jessica Alba and Drew Barrymore, among others.
