Exclusive: TV anchor Sage Steele has replaced Candace Owens in the voice cast of The Daily Wire’s upcoming animated sitcom Mr Birchum, following the latter’s recent exit from the right wing news platform.
The former ESPN anchor joins voice cast of Megyn Kelly, Brett Cooper, Adam Carolla (who created the show), Roseanne Barr, Danny Trejo, Rob Riggle, Patrick Warburton, Tyler Fischer, Alonzo Bodden, Kyle Dunnigan, and Jay Mohr.
Steele will play the role of Deena, who is married to Mr. Birchum’s best friend Gage. The role was previously due to be played by Owens who exited The Daily Wire last month. Her exit followed clashes with co-founder Ben Shapiro over the Israel-Hamas war.

Jenna Fischer Speaks Out on The Office Spinoff Involvement In a recent revelation about the much-anticipated The Office spinoff, former series star Jenna Fischer has openly declared that she has not been approached to participate in the new project. Although Jenna Fischer has starred in multiple other roles, perhaps the one she is best known for to date is none other than that of Pam Beesly in The Office. Yet, as exceptional as her performance was in the role that had many (if not all) viewers hooked, this very role seems to have posed a barrier when she earned the opportunity to work with Matt LeBlanc.

As surprising as it may seem, the truth is that Fischer almost starred in the lead opposite the Friends alum in a sitcom. However, simply because fans couldn’t imagine her renowned character Pam marrying LeBlanc’s equally famous character Joey, the 50-year-old actress lost out on her chance to work with the 56-year-old heartthrob!

With Life & Beth season two, Amy Schumer is no longer worried about spoilers. After all, this story is in the details.
The follow-up season to her semi-autobiographical Hulu dramedy, which launched all 10 episodes on Thursday, centers on the romantic relationship between Beth (Schumer) and John (played by Michael Cera), who — as the trailer revealed — get married early on in the new season. As the season progresses, Beth starts to notice certain behaviors in John and suggests that they check them out, together. Early in their marriage, John is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (Asd).
According to Schumer, talking about John’s diagnosis on the day that the new season launches will not ruin the viewing experience. “They really put everything in the trailer, which at first I was like, ‘Um, excuse me?'” recalls the creator, writer and director with a laugh. “And they were like, ‘Well, it will...

Dakota Johnson hilariously reminisced with Seth Meyers on “Late Night” about their appearances on the “The Office” series finale, which aired on NBC in May 2013. Johnson, who was still years out at the time from her breakthrough in the “Fifty Shades” franchise, appeared as a new accountant named Dakota. Meyers, meanwhile, was seen on a television doing a fictional version of “Weekend Update” from “Saturday Night Live.” Johnson was a big fan of “The Office,” so she jumped at the chance to be a guest star on the last episode.
“That was honestly the worst time of my life,” Johnson quipped. “They were like, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ And I was like, ‘Of course,’ thinking that I’d show up for like half a day. I was there for two weeks. And I’m barely in the fucking show.”

When The Office went off the air more than 10 years ago, we had to assume the doors of Dunder Mifflin were closed to fans for good. But, with nostalgia getting a promotion and reboots now in a premium parking spot, it wouldn’t be entirely off base to expect the series to come back in some form. And so how about a movie?
Talk of a reboot of The Office sprouted again last month, but one former (perhaps surprising) The Office contributor has an idea for getting the original cast back together. Appearing on the Office Ladies podcast, actor Bryan Cranston – who directed the season nine episode “Work Bus” – showed curiosity on the subject, saying, “Let’s say that there’s not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie? Something to where we can see where these people are. These people in the entire cast that we’re curious about.

For over four years now, "The Office" stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have been revisiting episodes of the popular sitcom on their enthusiastic rewatch podcast, "Office Ladies." This week, former episode director (and "Breaking Bad" star) Bryan Cranston stopped by the show (via Entertainment Weekly) and finally said what everyone's probably been thinking: there should be a "The Office" movie.
"Let's say that there's not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie?" Cranston spitballed when chatting with Kinsey and Fischer about his own time on the long-running series. If you don't remember the actor from "The Office," it's because he wasn't actually on screen; instead, he served as the man behind the camera for season 9's pie stand field trip episode "Work Bus." When reminiscing about the show, Cranston broached the topic of a sequel film that would check in on the Dunder Mifflin staff, pitching...

Charter’s dispute with the Walt Disney Company over retransmission consent fees and other matters added fuel to the fire of cord-cutting during the final quarter of 2023.
On Friday, Charter revealed its residential customer base for its Spectrum TV product shed 248,000 accounts, with the company ending the year at nearly 13.5 million accounts, a 7 percent decrease on a year-over basis.
The steep decline in Spectrum TV customers indicates Charter’s dispute with the Walt Disney Company — which started in the third quarter of the year — had a lingering effect in the final months of 2023.
Last September, Charter dropped ABC-owned local broadcast stations and a handful of Disney-owned networks, including ESPN, FX and National Geographic, after the programmer demanded more money for the same set of channels.

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s latest Office Ladies podcast found Bryan Cranston in an expansive mood. The Breaking Bad star floated some ideas for a revival of The Office, but not for television. Cranston wants a full-blown movie.
“Let’s say that there’s not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie?” said Cranston, who directed The Office episode Work Bus in season 9. “Something to where we can see where these people are. These people in the entire cast that we’re curious about. We wondered at the end, where did they go? What did become of them?”
Fischer and Kinsey were all for it. “I would do it,” Kinsey said. “I would do it for my kids, because I think they would think that’s fun.”
“I mean, if [showrunner] Greg [Daniels] did it, because I would trust it. You know?” Fischer said. “As long as...

Fans of NBC’s beloved sitcom “The Office” got huge news at the start of 2024 when it was revealed that showrunner Greg Daniels had opened a development room to officially begin planning a reboot. Details on a new iteration of “The Office” are scarce, but Emmy winner Bryan Cranston recently floated the idea to some of the sitcom’s original cast members of doing it as a film instead of a series.
“Let’s say that there’s not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie?” Cranston asked Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela) while guesting on their “Office Ladies” podcast. “Something to where we can see where these people are. The recurring rumors and hope for a revival of the beloved NBC sitcom The Office have returned this week, and this time it’s come from a surprising source — Bryan Cranston. And the Breaking Bad Emmy winner thinks the Dunder Mifflin crew should now be working on a bigger screen.

Exclusive: UK industry veterans Richard Kondal and Patrick Fischer, founders of financier Creativity Capital, have formed a new co-production company dubbed Big Safari.
The banner marks the latest edition to the duo’s portfolio, which also includes shareholdings in sales agent Architect, VFX house Koala FX as well as Creativity Capital.
Big Safari was born off the back of the Simon West-directed 2022 television series Boundless, which Kondal and Fischer produced while at Fulwell 73 with Mono Films and Amazon. The strategy for the new outfit, said the duo, is to set up co-productions that help close finance for international producers, whether through accessing soft money in European co-productions as they did for Svalta or finding a cost-effective co-producer further afield like they did with UK-Philippines co-production The Bayou. It will also look to help European films access UK talent and locations.

Nearly three months after Charter Communications and Disney struck a landmark distribution deal, Charter CFO Jessica Fischer said it “absolutely” has created a template for future agreements.
“We’re not willing to make our customers pay twice for content,” the exec said during an appearance at the Ubs Media and Communications Conference in New York. “What that means is, if there is a programmer who is making their programming available in a direct-to-consumer streaming service and our customers are paying for that content in the linear service, our expectation is that that Dtc service would be part of our bundle.”
The Disney deal, which was reached September 11 after a 10-day outage affecting ESPN, ABC and other major Disney networks, followed some concessions from Charter as to the promotion of Disney streaming services into Spectrum offerings. After Charter Communications and Disney created a new industry template for traditional pay TV with their new Spectrum carriage deal, expect more streaming content to be included in the traditional cable bundle and less popular linear TV channels to be dropped.

Independent talent agency 33 & West has signed comedians Masood Boomgaard, Tyler Fischer and Jimmy Dore, TheWrap can exclusively report.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Masood, Jimmy and Tyler to the 33 & West family,” said Peter DeSantis, head of talent & music crossover. “We’ve created an ecosystem at the agency that allows us to properly service their long-term upward trajectory, and a key function for our comedians is our ability to provide film and television opportunities for our comedy roster.”
“Masood is a perfect example of a comedian that started on TikTok and Instagram who is now performing live and headlining their own sold out shows,” said agency co-founder JJ Cassiere.
Boomgaard, who is also known by his alter ego Self-Help Singh, has sold out shows around the world in Singapore, London, Los Angeles, Boston, Australia and Dubai. In 2020, Boomgaard was the first South African comedian to record a lockdown comedy special from his home,...

Charter and Disney’s heated carriage dispute reached a resolution just in time for Monday Night Football.
It could have gotten ugly if fans missed the Buffalo Bills taking on the New York Jets on ABC and ESPN, with Charter CEO Chris Winfrey saying he was prepared to move on if Disney wouldn’t play ball. But this is merely the first quarter in an increasingly rough game that will play out in the months and years to come, as media companies and their cable and satellite contributors grapple with the slow unwinding of a once-lucrative business.
The deal the companies struck would help “stabilize the linear video ecosystem and provide a glide path that gets us to the new direct to consumer environment,” Charter chief financial officer Jessica Fischer told an investor conference hosted by Bank of America Wednesday.
“I think it’s a win for everyone,” Fischer added.

Now that the carriage dispute that caused 19 Disney-owned channels to be blacked out for Spectrum’s 14.7 million American cable customers is resolved, executives at both companies are all smiles. That’s especially true of Charter CFO Jessica Fischer, who spoke with Wall Street analysts at the 2023 Bank of America Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference.
Fischer spoke of her company’s satisfaction with the deal, particularly because it addresses one of Charter’s biggest concerns: content exclusivity. Charter operates the Spectrum TV service and was quite concerned with the devaluing of Disney cable channels thanks to the amount of premium content being funneled to its flagship streamer Disney+.

Charter’s subscriber losses from its carriage dispute with Disney have been “much less” than what the company initially anticipated, chief financial officer Jessica Fischer revealed Wednesday. She added that the impact to the company’s broadband subscribers was “very, very small.”
“We believe that we’ve come out on the other side of this really still doing well from a subscriber perspective,” she said during an investor conference hosted by Bank of America – the cable giant’s first public remarks since reaching a new carriage deal.
In the second quarter of 2023, the company reported a total of 14.7 million video customers. Fischer declined to disclose the specific amount of losses Charter experienced.
Fischer said Charter was “really happy” with the deal and that it met all of the company’s objectives.

In the first public comments by a Charter executive since a carriage renewal with Disney, CFO Jessica Fischer said the deal “met all of our objectives” and a preceding blackout resulted in only moderate TV subscriber losses.
The closely watched Disney-Spectrum carriage dispute was resolved Monday as the companies reached a precedent-setting multi-year pact. Eight of the 19 cable networks that had gone dark (along with eight ABC stations), among them Fxx and Freeform, remained off Spectrum TV under the new agreement. Charter secured the long-sought ability to integrate Disney streaming services in its TV packages.
Speaking at the BofA Securities Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, Fischer said TV subscriber losses due to the outage, which came at the start of football season, were “much less than what we anticipated.” The hit to the company’s broadband subscriber base, meanwhile, “has been very, very small,” she added. “We’ve come out the...

Charter Wants to Blow Up the Pay TV Bundle in Disney Fight: “This Is Not a Typical Carriage Dispute”
The carriage dispute between Charter Spectrum and The Walt Disney Co. has been a long time coming.
According to executives at the cable company, which has just shy of 15 million video customers, the two sides had been talking about a “transformative” deal for months, one that, in their mind, could help reinvigorate the pay TV bundle and provide a “glide path” away from the rapid erosion enveloping the industry.
But if Disney and Charter can’t cut a deal, the cable company says it is prepared to abandon its video business altogether.
“We’re on the edge of a precipice. We’re either moving forward with a new collaborative video model, or we’re moving on,” Charter CEO Chris Winfrey said on a conference call with Wall Street analysts Friday morning. “This is not a typical carriage dispute. It’s significant for Charter, and we think it’s even more...

Marcia Cross, Bryan Batt and Ron Canada starred in the opening night of the Off-Broadway play, Pay the Writer. The first performance of the comedy-drama was held in benefit of the Writers Guild of America, which is currently on strike.
Producer Sandy Marshall said the actors wanted to show support for the writers’ union because “without their members, there would be no stories to experience and no escape from the difficulties of the human experience that are often cast upon us. Simply, the artist must support the art.”
The plot of Pay the Writer follows literary agent Bruston Fischer (Batt) and his complex friendships with his most successful client, Cyrus Holt (Canada), and Holt’s ex-wife Lana (Cross). Fischer is a gay man who faces “social persecution” while trying to succeed in his publishing career while Holt is a black writer attempting to get noticed.

God made man in his own image, and then man defied His orders, so man was cast out from His garden—or so the story goes in the Bible. Directors Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon made a movie based on this, and it’s the 2023 supernatural horror Nefarious. Jordan Belfi plays psychiatrist Dr. James Martin, who goes into a prison to decide whether a criminal (Sean Patrick Flannery) is mentally fit to be executed, but realizes he’s gotten much more than he bargained for. Shot almost entirely inside one room, the movie raises questions about man’s choices and actions with references to heaven and hell, but it quickly starts reeking of propaganda and not so much horror. Here’s what happens in Nefarious.
Spoilers Ahead

Berlin (Germany), May 15 (Ians) The day after, the 59-point record appeared like an ordinary working day around the training ground of Union Berlin.
Things went on as they always do. Grass pitches got mowed, craftsmen fixed some minor repair works, and a shy ray of sun showed up occasionally.
The club’s enthusiastic supporters might have talked about the weekend’s happenings — still oscillating between dreaming and reality — as both seem to merge into something many can’t yet believe, reports news agency Xinhua.
As logical as the upswing appears after having ended up as seventh and fifth in the two recent league campaigns, the most likely qualification for the Champions League remains something unimaginable.
As far as sober facts are concerned ahead of the remaining two rounds of matches in the 2022/23 season, things hardly can go wrong considering the achieved three-point lead for the current fourth-placed side in the national league.

Television history is full of iconic couples. Luke and Lorelai, Cory and Topanga, Kurt and Blaine, Seth and Summer, David and Patrick, Pacey and Joey. People have a habit of tuning in each week eager to see if their favorite dynamic duo will finally get together. It's part of what makes watching TV so much fun. One of the most beloved television couples, made their debut on NBC's remake of Britain's "The Office." This mockumentary about a rag-tag group of paper salesmen under the watch of their foolish but lovable boss, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) become a cultural phenomenon and went on to make 9 seasons, many of which revolved around the romance of Jim and Pam.
When the show first aired, Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) were immediately on everyone's will-they-won't-they radar. Known for their infectious chemistry and mutual love of a good practical joke, we all...

You'd think it'd be safe to assume that there weren't a ton of injuries on the set of "The Office." The cast was pretty sedentary for a lot of the filming, only occasionally having to perform such strenuous tasks as answering a phone or using the copy machine. Besides Rainn Wilson's knack for injuring his co-stars, the actors in "The Office" didn't have much to worry about in terms of their physical wellbeing.
The setting in "The Office" is essential to the show's tone, as boring as it is (although enough fans are interested in the visiting the office to justify "The Office Experience" exhibit). But the show left its comfort zone for the season 3 episode "Beach Games," which resulted in a deviation from the series' safe, humorously boring norm. When the delusional regional manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin, Michael Scott, believes he's going to be...

The power of "The Office" to stay as culturally relevant and popular as it has, even nearly 20 years after its premiere, is nothing short of extraordinary. The workplace comedy has had an extremely strong hold on the American psyche for years, with many of the characters and running jokes of the show becoming culturally mainstream. The show's combination of sardonic, sometimes cringe-inducing humor and its genuine heart appeals to a wide swath of viewers, from comedy aficionados to just about every person who uses a dating app.
A colossal strength of "The Office" is its extremely strong ensemble cast, every single one of whom brings something unique and irreplaceable to the show. One of the show's tertiary characters is Meredith Palmer, portrayed by Kate Flannery. Meredith begins the show as little more than a glorified background character, just serving as one of the many people working at the Scranton branch...
