See Woody Allen as a Pimp in John Turturro's "Fading Gigolo!"
The last time Woody Allen appeared in a movie not written or directed by him, it was for 2000's "Picking Up the Pieces" for director Alfonso Arau. The prolific writer/director had said he's open to acting in "other people's films" but no one has ever asked him except for a few movies in the last 30 years.
So now, enter John Turturro. His film "Fading Gigolo" has Allen playing a pimp with witty one-liners of course! Allen is co-starring with Sofia Vergara, Sharon Stone, and Turturro himself. "Fading Gigolo" will make its world debut at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
