When Edgar Wright abruptly abandoned Marvel’s Ant-Man last year, the script went through several big rewrites – at the hands of Adam McKay, Gabrial Ferrari, Andrew Barrer and the titular bite-sized Avenger himself, Paul Rudd. While we were initially told that those “giant” rewrites happened to tweak the film and conform it to Marvel’s vision, we’re now hearing that they could have also been made to include references to another upcoming Avenger: Spider-Man.

That’s right, rumor has it that Spider-Man will be the focus of several Easter eggs in Ant-Man. The report comes from Latino-Review, who state that Ant-Man will plant “plenty of seeds” to usher in the web crawler’s debut McU appearance in Captain America: Civil War next year.
