‘Apartment 7A’ First Look: Julia Garner Leads Natalie Erika James’ ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ Prequel

Julia Garner might still be portraying the Material Girl Madonna in the future, but for now, she’s telling a different sort of origin story. In Natalie Erika James’ “Rosemary’s Baby” prequel, Garner leads a psychological thriller set in the haunted New York City apartment building that Roman Polanski made iconic in his 1968 horror classic.
Titled “Apartment 7A,” the Paramount+ feature takes place in 1965, prior to Polanski’s legendary horror classic “Rosemary’s Baby,” and explores what happened in the infamous Bramford Building before Rosemary moved in.
The official synopsis reads: “Ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Garner) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple played by Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford.
