“I’m not sure I’m this guy”: James Marsden Still Doubted if He Was the Right Actor for Cyclops After Brett Ratner Made Him Do a Scene Multiple Times
To date, there have been multiple people who have brought Cyclops to life, but none of them comes as close to perfection and being loved by fans as James Marsden’s version. If anything, the Hollywood heartthrob gave such an immaculate portrayal of the character in the X-Men film series that it is still regarded as one of his best performances to date.

But while millions of fans from across the globe still credit him for being the perfect fit for Scott Summers in live-action (even though his character arc is criticized much), Marsden didn’t find himself the most accurate actor for the role. And if his doubting himself wasn’t enough, Brett Ratner made things worse by making him do multiple takes for a single scene!
