Amazon's Tomb Raider Series Finds Its Lara Croft

Step aside, Alicia Vikander, we have a new Lara Croft. Sophie Turner is reported to be in negotiations to star as the beloved video game character in Amazon's live-action Tomb Raider series.
Per Deadline, Turner beat out other promising actors like Bohemian Rhapsody's Lucy Boynton for the role of Lara Croft. She is set to become the third actor to portray the character in live-action. Angelina Jolie first portrayed the character in two successful Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movies that were released in the early 2000s, while Vikander stepped into the role for the 2018 reboot, Tomb Raider, which was based on the 2013 video game of the same name. Turner's potential casting was first reported last month when it was mentioned that the Game of Thrones alum was among the actors testing for the high-profile role.
