Thunderbolts* sees one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most complex characters, Bucky Barnes, return to the fray as the de facto leader of the anti-hero group. However, new images from the upcoming superhero blockbuster tease tensions between him and the group and an intriguing alliance.

Via Entertainment Weekly, fresh behind-the-scenes visuals from Thunderbolts* show Sebastian Stan's Bucky seemingly hunting down members of the Thunderbolts, capturing and leaving some of them tied up in a room. The images also suggest a potential alliance between Bucky and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine aka Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) as they try to get on the same page with the group before carrying out select missions.
