Home Alone's Daniel Stern & Joe Pesci Were Trying 'To Actually Be Scary' as the Wet Bandits

Even though it was released more than 30 years ago, 1990’s Home Alone and its sequel, 1992’s Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are yearly viewing for many around the holidays. In a new interview, one of the “Wet Bandits,” actor Daniel Stern, talks about how he and Joe Pesci were trying to be legitimately scary in the first film.
People reports that Stern, who played Marv, one half of the fumbling criminal duo known as the Wet Bandits, speaking to Entertainment Tonight, opened up about making the classic film. Stern recalled that the other half of his team, Pesci, who played Harry, was the brains of their operations, but he ended up taking one scene too far.
