I discovered cosplay back in 2002 when I saw a Vash the Stampede cosplayer from Trigun walking down the street toward Anime Central. Over the years I’ve watched it grow into something truly incredible. Many cosplayers will tell you that doing it is more than just embodying their favorite anime characters (or whatever form of media they’re a fan of). For many, cosplay is a way to express themselves and connect with others, and there’s no better example of this than #28DaysOfBlackCosplay.
