Cynthia Erivo threw it back to the 1975 musical The Wiz during a tribute to Oz at the 2025 Academy Awards!
The 38-year-old actress and her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande performed a medley of Oz-themed songs to open the show on Sunday (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
After Ariana performed “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz, Cynthia continued the performance with “Home” from The Wiz. They then did a duet of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.
