Denzel Washington’s 'Unstoppable' Is Surprisingly Authentic

Denzel Washington began his historic creative partnership with director Tony Scott with the 1995 submarine action thriller film Crimson Tide, which was a commercial and critical success and established the actor as a box-office star. Washington and Scott next re-teamed with the 2004 action thriller film Man on Fire, followed by the 2006 science-fiction action film Déjà Vu, and the 2009 action thriller film The Taking of Pelham 123. The partnership ended with Washington and Scott’s fifth, and arguably the best, collaboration, the 2010 disaster action thriller film Unstoppable, which marked Scott’s final feature directorial outing prior to his tragic 2012 death.
