Before leaving the MCU, Scarlett Johansson made sure that her character had an heir apparent in the franchise. Following her appearance in the film Black Widow, Florence Pugh’s Yelena ascended through the ranks in the MCU pretty quickly. She is now leading the anti-hero team, Thunderbolts, in the upcoming movie. Pugh is also set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday as one of the main characters.
In her recent promotional interview for Thunderbolts*, she shared her gratitude towards Johansson, who wanted Pugh to join her movie. She shared that she had a great time together on the set and added that she missed starring alongside the Marriage Story actress.
