“I might plummet to my death”: John Woo Was Afraid to Ask Tom Cruise to Do Another Take of This Mission Impossible Scene

Tom Cruise is known for being the ultimate action God in the film industry. While it is true that there are several actors who perform their own stunts, Cruise is just built different for his knack for performing death defying stunts.

The best example of this is his Mission Impossible franchise, where he has hung from a helicopter several feet above the ground, drove a motorcycle multiple times off a cliff, climbed the tallest building in the world aka the Burj Khalifa, and even hung from a moving Airbus A400. While the stunt we are going to talk about is pretty much nothing compared to the above-mentioned stunts, it was still deadly enough that director John Woo was afraid to ask Cruise to do it again.
