Review

  • I remember watching "Dirty Dancing" for the first time when I was only 7 years old. I was obsessed with the movie, especially the music, but was too young to fully understand the story. Mostly, I watched it for the music ("(I've Had) The Time of My Life", "Hungry Eyes", and "She's Like the Wind" are my favorites). Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey are wonderful on screen together. The supporting cast is good too, especially Jerry Orbach as Grey's father and Cynthia Rhodes as Swayze's dance partner Penny.

The reason I believe so many people enjoy "Dirty Dancing" so much is for its music and dancing, but also its story. A story that is about real people dealing with real life issues is what people can relate to. I hope this film gets made into a Broadway musical.
