• A top-secret organization saves the brain of a just-killed man and places it in a newly built body. This series reminded me in some ways of the "Six Million Dollar Man" but, unlike the earlier series, a romantic tension was added to the storyline by the device of having the organization forbid "Newman" (Eric Close), under penalty of death, from making his wife (Margaret Colin) and daughter aware of his continued existence. Although some of the episodes were way over the top as far as the situations presented, others were very good when they dealt with the human issues and as we watched "Newman" try to get around the restrictions and see, or at least help, his family. It's a shame this series was cancelled after only one season. Part of the blame has to rest with the poor scheduling of the show - it was aired on Friday evenings and many weeks wasn't aired at all. In spite of that, it attracted a small but fanatical audience. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to save it. I sure hope this comes to DVD someday.
