K3, Kathleen, Kristel and Karen, are one of Belgiums best known girl-groups. For the first time on the big screen, they show no real talent for acting in this simple children's story about three young women which act like three kindergarten kids. They find a magical medallion, just as two villains arrive at their newly bought old mansion. The villains try to charm them out of their genie-bearing jewelry and later decide to just steal it, to bring world power to their master, an obscure villain. The rather short movie (59 Min's) seems much longer, for its dullness and predictable plot. Of course the villains are blundering idiots, of course the three girls only have infantile wishes, of course they (almost) run out of wishes and of course everything will turn out just fine in the end (that is: all returns to normal). Young children (from ages 4 up to 8) will appreciate this movie for its nice tone, fairytale wonders and of course the charming K3. They probably won't raise an eyebrow when seeing the three women share the same bed and even cuddle each other in their sleep... Their parents might doze off after a few minutes, only to be awakened by Dutch TV-host-turned-actor Paul De Leeuw as the genie - a hilarious, hysterical version of Robin Williams's same role in Disney's Aladdin.
