Series creator Chris Carter took a turn directing this second feature film spun-off the TV series serves as a sequel, with former FBI agents Fox Mulder & Dana Scully(David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson) reuniting after being recalled by the bureau to investigate the disappearance of a female FBI agent, and the connection a disgraced former priest(played by Billy Connelly) has to it. It turns out that this time it isn't aliens or conspiracies, but the kind of case old friend and colleague Frank Black would have investigated... Mitch Pileggi also reprises his role of A.D. Skinner towards the end. Entertaining film is mostly for fans of the series, though there is little mention of the consequences from the series finale 'The Truth', which is odd, but that aside, an interesting and spooky film. Be sure to stay with it through the closing credits for a (final?) wave goodbye.
