• Warning: Spoilers
Bhatts have known for remaking Hollywood films, This film was their first sequel, A quasi sequel of Murder(which was a remake of Unfaithful). The film has nothing to do with Murder part I, It just takes the brand forward. The film is a remake of THE CHASER(2008) A South Korean film(almost entirely). However Bhatts have to use their formula too, so we have a forced romance angle of Jacqueline Fernandez which was not in the original. There is also an atheist angle which was not in the original which started straight to the point, barring the eununch part most of the film is otherwise the same. Mohit Suri also borrows from SADAK(1991) and Silence of the Lambs(which was remade as Sangharsh). The film is decent to watch, though it's mostly copypasted, however the problem is the forced romance acts as a stumbling block, also the writers add some more aspects which were missing from original like give the girl Sulagna a poor background and also have a change of heart for the lead.

Direction by Mohit Suri is good Music is good, Haal E Dil, Phir Mohabbat all were hit though their placement is an issue

Emraan Hashmi with longlocks plays his part well, though he played such characters earlier and it's nothing new for him. Prashant Narayanan is simply outstanding, he plays the character so perfectly, very sad to see him not getting his due and signing craps Jacqueline Fernandez with a dubbed voice fits as the Bhatt heroine and surprisingly lacks meat to in her role unlike in some Bhatt films which had good roles for heroines. Sulagna is superb in her role, she gets more scope then Jacqueline and gives it her all, Sudhanshu Pandey is good, rest are all okay
