Review

  • I think the other reviewers have misunderstood this episode. It's a comedy. It's about the contrast between the free wheeling, drugged out hippie world of yesterday and the fastidious, up-tight spiffy world of today, and it is hilarious. The plot is of no consequence. It's just a slight framework upon which to hang the real subject. I thought Carradine was terrific, a perfect grungy foil to Dinozzo, the eternal jock. The episode was all about personalities. The payoff came at the end when Carradine's character was finally forced out of hiding and, to our amazement, an honest-to-goodness talented entertainer was revealed. I wish we could have heard more of that performance. All in all a satisfying episode, if you know what to look for.
