• Warning: Spoilers
I had no idea this existed until about a few weeks ago. So, basically, this show is about some prehistoric creatures who go on various adventures. They idolize a fake species of dinosaur called the 'Gigantosaurus', (not to be confused with the Giganotosaurus) who shows up about once per episode.

I wasn't really interested in the show at first because Disney Junior's acquired shows tend to be average at best. But this turned out surprisingly pretty decent.

I really like the animation, it reminds me of Into the Spiderverse. The characters are enjoyable and work off each other well. My favorite has to be Rocky -- he reminds me of a certain PBS alien because of his high energy and determined attitude. He tries to act tough, but he's a big softie on the inside, as shown in "The Lost Egg". There's a lot of clever jokes and good writing.

There's some stuff to be learned as well. "Mazu Takes A Chance" teaches about why it's important to protect endangered species, and "The Lost Egg" shows that it's perfectly okay to show your soft side. The latter episode also has a lesson on incubation. However, there's one inaccuracy - Mazu is said to be an Ankylosaurus, but she looks more like a frog.

To sum it up, Gigantosaurus is a funny and heartwarming series. Too bad it's on the chopping block, because Disney Junior is planning to shaft it to the 24/7 channel, just like what happened with P. King Duckling.
