Visually this movie is true to its 80s animation style, the color use isn't as vibrant as it would become during the "renaissance" era and the general vibe it gave me was mostly the opposite to The Sword in the Stone.
But things probably progress too fast to make sense to young minds.
All in all, it's not bad, but I feel like this isn't a "kids movie", more like a "story for early teens watered down for kids" and it might have benefitted from 20 to 30 extra minutes to more properly delve into the story.
