As much as I would have liked to give this movie more stars, I just couldn't.
The reasons? Basically, the story is too bland and meandering to overcome the otherwise very interesting subject matter - a disabled woman seeking love. Had the movie been more focused and provide some kind of resolution or denouement (or even lack thereof with some well-told ambiguity), it would have been a much better film.
The acting is good, however. So there's that. But it's let down by less than stellar directing and writing.
